any english subtitles? from what ive been told there's like no chance but, im still hoping.

no English subs... None needed.. you know the story and they did a great job keeping it inline...... unlike how Initial D Live action didn't.

I however had a Japanese girl right by my side as I watched it.. so when i really wanted to know things she translated lol.

Didn't I already say a while ago that I had the thing on preorder and would upload it as soon as I got it? Sorry it took so long, the DVD showed up while I was still in NY. I got back to Cali today and... well, as promised, here it is!

can't wait for subs. Downloaded the raw and looks nice and interesting. Pretty faithful to the manga

Couple of changes though. Akio drives a red Z32 at the start, Kou drives a white FD instead of a grey FC. Reina also drives a Red R34 instead of a black R32

LOTS of changes from the manga, assuming the Anime followed the manga that is. I've not actually read the manga, so I can only go based on what I've seen. Spoiler'd for those who don't want to know about the plot of the movie without knowing what's being said.

-Kou-chan sticks with Akio the whole way through, helping him with the Z after every crash. -NO JUN KITAMI -Reina isn't the co-host of Drive Go Go, she's an idol (AND A TRAP) -As mentioned earlier, Akio drives a Z32 to begin with -Since there's no Jun Kitami, BlackBird only goes through one upgrade (the final one done at the Porsche Specialist Shop) -No drive with the teacher on Hakone (the teacher visits the day of Akio's rematch with BlackBird so he tells her to GTFO) -Ishida-sensei doesn't get his Ferrari upgraded, nor is he part of the race where Akio crashes into a truck -Akio doesn't go back to school -Kou-chan drives a white FD, not an FC -Reina drives a red R34, not a white R32

Basically, there were a TON of changes to the story, but that made it fun for me. That way there was stuff you couldn't predict, which was awesome. Also, I wonder when they'll be announcing the sequel?

There are a lot of differences, but I'm glad you uploaded it, Nomake... it's a good movie and I hope there will be a sequel for this.

Meh. It started out well, but I thought the ending was more or less sort of... there. :/ I didn't mind the changes and could understand where most of them came from in terms of a movie/time limitation standpoint, but the relative non-confrontation at the end was a downer. I understand why it was done (sequel ahoy!), but it resolved nothing. A bit disappointing.

The way it ended suggests a sequel *hopes up*

The sequel could open up with the introduction of Kitami and Takagi and lead off from there..

Honestly, I didn't like Reina's character nor Shimada-sensei. They were pretty annoying and didn't look like their Anime counterparts..

Definitely, they left room for a sequel. If they have the budget, there definitely will be one.

Nomake Wan Thank you for taking the time to rip and upload. I'm hoping if you have time to translate, you can make it into a separate srt or other subtitle file. I plan on buying the JDM dvd, and then re-encoding it with the main part with subtitles. That way I have a full JDM dvd, then a translated dvd that works on region 1 ntsc

i have plans to do the sub as well let me think
