@Fizz: Some things here work differently from what you know in the arcades.
1. T-CMI is respected because he's running a R34 to SSS the hard way.
2. While I've seen him at his worst, I've also seen him at his best. I think it's pretty bad for you to let others colour your opinion of him. And I've beaten him a few times even before he knew me (that is to say, before we became friends) and he's never yelled at me or whatever - sure you might say "oh that's coz you're a girl", but I assure you, the starting of the friendship between him and me was not stable at all.
3. Teachers teach the lesson, thus the teacher's views colour the lesson. Fine if you've learnt and picked the game up from him. Fine if you think the world of him. But it is NOT FINE when you say what you said: "if have then say hi to him..hes my sensei" because it sounds like "oh my god, my sensei is here. PLEASE EVERYONE TO STAND UP AND SAY HI." It reminds me too much of those ppl working in MLM companies and when they intro you to the person who taught them, they will nudge you and say "please stand up and shake the person's hand" (that, by the way, is basic courtesy).
4. On a personal note, I only say hi to people I know, and if I play against some ppl who are friends of my friends, then MAYBE i'll say hi to them. I don't randomly go up to someone whom I've just slammed the hell out of and say "YOZ! GUD GAME, MATE!" Definitely will get whacked...
That's unless they play extremely clean, then maybe I'll acknowledge them with a smile. On another note, I've probably played with him before, and like how I am...an eye for an eye, a slam for a slam.
[ Post merged on Dec 22 2009, 09:31 AM ] Ratings are subjective.
If I rate a player as high, it doesn't mean he's very pro, it just means he's a good player with good attitude and knows how to play clean even though he might not do it.
So, what's your rating for high? Can play TA very well? Can STEP BRAKE very well?
Shheetz. I'm getting all pissed again. GG.
