first off, i think some of the people arguing for the 'Yes' side should be more worried about practice and refinement rather than dress-up parts. conveying the message of dress-up being of real value to anyone other than a top-tier player is the wrong message to be conveying.
secondly, if one setup was agreed to be the 'best' by the majority of the best players on earth, everyone who knew about it would be using it, and i'd say you have a point. but there clearly is no consensus on which setup is 'best', so it can only be concluded that dressing-up in a certain manner is a matter of personal preference.
my point is, whether or not it happens to be true, 99% of the time the difference is somewhere between negligible and non-existent. the point of dress-up is to dress-up, and i surely hope it stays that way.
when a basketball player undergoes a change of scenery and moves to a city that they think is best for their future, they will be more motivated to perform. when they are forced to move to a city they know they won't enjoy playing in, the opposite is true. some players thrive in big cities with bright lights, while others thrive in smaller markets with less expectations. i feel it is a similar case when it comes to dress-up in mt.

This. I rather like this car because I don't have to worry about the big fuss about dress-up.
