It depends on where it's sold. Such as the Silvias, here, its a 240SX, since a KA24 is used here, In Europe, an SR20 block is used, hence a 200SX, and in Japan, well, a CA18 is used, hence the all-too-familiar 180SX.

i mean yeah ive been lurking on honda sites, f&f style is pretty rare now, its all about acting cool and buying 0 offset sportmax for your civic thinking your going to be cool then making a thread when you dont know how to make them fit you car. its hilarious.

some people are doing cool stuff with it, i was going to do it myself but seeing how fanboy status even the honda world is i think im just going to get normal sized wheels...i want to hit the track anyway and might get better results without -5 camber.

the thing i hate MOST about honda owners are the cocky ones, like the owners with the "my VTEC owns EVERYTHING on the road" type of attitude. otherwise than that i like hondas. grin2.gif

Most of my friends are actually not Nissan fans or Toyota fans but true Honda lovers and enthusiasts with more track time than I probably will accrue in my lifetime. That said it's the vocal minority (or is it majority) of idiots who think because true enthusiasts exist with good cars, they can hold a candle to that caliber of person and vehicle just because they can buy some jank ass rustbucket with a stock motor and $100 wheels. Those are the ricers we hate, at least when they start to put off that they are just as good as people who have done their proper homework. Ugly bodykit or just busted body. If you talk the talk but don't walk the walk you're a ricer. If your car has all bark no bite.

Good Post, J. wink2.gif

Though it's mostly sad there's people who generalize Ricers wrong, I'm not pointing fingers or anything, but it's someone most of us don't like.

@rx-666: I'm guessing the Civic with an open hood has either a D, B or H engine.

Surprisingly their are guys I know who have cheap parts but dont flaunt them, their just trying to make the most of what they have, working pretty hard. They AT LEAST try to put some effort into their car.

Now the guys with the sharpie brake lights and spraypaint honda logos on the other hand....

IT's not a BAD thing to have a cheap car. what irritates me is people who do something half ass and make do with it. Either it's done right or its not. It's sad to see something that could have been good but isn't. Someone who buys Works wheels with perfect offsets and compound R tires but then cuts their springs so low it compromises the suspension- If they're aware they did a bad and try to fix their mistake, that's fine. If they flaunt their wheel and tyre combo ignorant of the flagrant flaw in their suspension as if they can just be Takumi and compensate for it in the middle of a race: THAT's RICE!!

SR20 180SX's are still 180SX here. 200SX is Nissan Silvia (like in MT)

I thought CA18 was only used in the early generations, after that it was the SR20, the same time the S13 switched to SR20 (1991?), so did the 180SX.

Better stay on-topic here whistling.gif

Holy shit. I should have snapped a photo of this silver 01-02 Mustang last night. V6, body kit that looked horrible, giant chrome wheels, green neons. He just sat there watching everyone for like two hours or so.

At the end of the night, he tried to drift out of the parking lot. Many lawlz were had.

I really wish I could have taken a picture of this one '90s V6 Mustang I saw around my town. It was metallic orange with huge chrome wheels. similar to that blue one I posted. To top it all off, no lie, it had a full body kit and spoiler that was BRIGHT TOOTHPASTE GREEN.

That was a thing of beauty.

The worst part is about a quarter of the cars I have to drive in valet look like that. They feel like shit too. I want to ask the line from the Simpsons 'do you want me to destroy this vehicle for you sir?' driver: 'no just park it.'

Ricing is also about the attitude and what you bring to the road. If I see a panda 86 GT-S driving into and out of my lane for no reason in broad daylight my first thought's gonna be "f**king ricer, get your shitbox out of my lane."
