As a souvenir maybe? You seem to have an emotional attachment of sorts to your cosmo

No man, not planning to go back at all.
In an unrelated note though, it seems like my friend won a preliminary tourney and now gets a free trip to Japan and compete internationally.

Congrats to your buddy. He's probably gonna end up going head-to-head with some of my buddies who won a trip to Japan themselves at a recent MT tournament over here too

on that note, are all the prelims over in HK? I saw some of the vids of HK players, and then compared it with Taiwan players. Check out the response at 2KF. I mean, I personally can beat those guys on my Atenza/E9/E10/SpecV or even my non-full tune (820) Cosmo. R2 and Hiace may be a bit ambitious, but it's Fukouka.

Learned a few things from the HK player's ramfest.......

Nope. Only Asian countries (Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Hk, Japan, among others) participated. The last "world tournament" prior to this one was solely in Japan and nowhere else...

Hnnn... You can try searching google for those videos.. If memory serves me right, a good number of my buddies took videos of it.

Just type in "Maximum Tune 3DX+ tournament Philippines" at the search box.

The FC

Not a great car at all - terrible accel, semi-decent top speed (better than evos by 1km everywhere) and awesome handling

Pro
- great handling
- better top speed than most awd evos and wrxs
- underused car

Con
- terrible accel
- Too light, even with the heaviest setting the handling itself will suffer
- The FD, RX8 and MX5 outshines it overall

The FC will focus primarily on handling, exit speeds and keeping speed all through the turn. You should NOT focus on its acceleration due to the fact that IT HAS NONE. You WILL lose start ups against Evos and Wrxs and even skylines, supras and the odd silvia

The FC is equally good on all maps except wangan obviously, and is best at hakone or C1.

Hope that helps - but the FC is not a great car

Rare underused cars

- Evo 3/5/6/10
- RX7 FD (better alternative to the FC with better accel)
- S15 (slides a lot though)
- Z33/34 (slides a lot...)
- Any WRX (GC8/GDB-C/F (i recommend either GDB))

All of those cars are better alternatives to the FC

A non-bandwagon car, eh. With good accel, eh.

You are always welcomed to try the Supra JZA80. Pretty solid car.

Yep, alongside the Mazdas, the Supras are among the rarely used cars in spite of having a technically better performance (acceleration, battle durability & top speed).

Well, if you can manage its handling, the Supra's other attributes will let it trump cars like the FC. If you have more power, you definitely have more options. Top-notch handling can only get you so far.

I say you get the car you like most. Build it as a battle car and just try to be the fastest rx7 around. If you can't do good with an rx7 then you might need a better car to compensate for your skills. I recommend the rx8 if you like MAZDAS

HK players prelims:

Compare with Korea:

I want to ask. Is that how they race in Korea? 740 in Nagoya?!

Check out the guys from HK. They ram like hell. I am very excited to see how they go up against the Japanese. Taiwan and Korea are definitely out.

Wow, the HK battle was.. interesting.. there were times where one of them could have pulled out a 200+m lead and kept it, but instead, they do a 90 degree block.. and miss.. or hit the truck.. >_>" It looks like they were just screwing around and smashing into everything for fun.

The Korean battle looks like they play way too clean, like that white R32 lets the other R32 pass without even blocking, only the slightest hint of blocking around the last 1km.

Would be interesting to see them go up against each other

Ideally, in a compertition, you want to be a balance of the two. Being 200+ head, then wedging yourself into the C1 divider is stupid. But being passive and letting someone pass you without taking action is also silly. Even if your driving a Mazda.

Even when I race, I'm not going to miss an oppitunity to put you into a parking bay, or a truck. But I'm not going smash into you every chance I get.

Also, 740HP on Nagoya still works if you want more handling and are trying to be more ram resistant/crazy. But for a clean race, it seems silly. I'd go for 760HP, or if the traffic was low, 780HP.
