After fully-tuning and dressing (I don't even wanna bother counting how many cars), I've realized that tuning and dressups are some of the biggest pain in the ass in the game. But I wonder, which is actually a bigger pain, dressup or tuning? What do you think?

i reckon its around equal.
though story is easier in the way that if you do happen to crash with a couple kms left, you can catch up easily enough (usually) but for ghost that might not be possible. tuning (at least after stage 60) you only get 1 upgrade every 20 stages, which seems so annoying, you win and the bar moves like 1cm. dressup at least you can get parts every level but whether you want them or not thats another story (eg you want something on level 40 but you're on level 25)  |

oh yeah dressup just takes so long lol. especially DX+ levels, like 5 wins = 1 level up.

i say dress up is a bigger pain.
Tuning is something that needs to be done regardless, where as dress up isnt. and dress up never was that challenging. |

I think the Story mode is a bigger pain in the ass. Especially when you keep doing up a new car every week.

Dressup in dx+ is now definately the bigger pain in the ass why did namco have to reset us to level 46

Tuning was never a pain in the ass, thats what renames are for LOL.
I'd say dress-up would be the biggest pain. |

Tuning does become a pain in the ass, especially when you have to do the 32K races...

Dress-up.
-Requires like 5X more copious amounts of spending just to modify the car after story mode (IF YOU'RE A VERY STYLISH CUSTOMIZER! ) -I get exhausted for several hours later. -I'd rather wish 1 race win = 1 full bar. (I get impatient in "When can I style my car now") I'm a nut to make my race-ready cars into "SUPER STREET/IMPORT TUNER MAGAZINE COVER-WORTHY Looks". Dress up is the most boring part of mt,
I just do it for looks but then racing ghosts 5x wins just to get a bar and now dress up is like 60+ ? dress up ftl. -------------------- This account has been suspended indefinitely.

Dress up no doubt.
In a full-tuned car starting from no dress up, you need over 120 games to get full dress up in DX, and like 80 more for the additional dress-up levels in DX+. And that estimation is based on that you always go for 1.5x guage when possible with 100% win percentage, not counting rematches and crown-seizing battles. While some story goes as far as 30km, it's a no match when compared with the additional 100 games for dress-ups. |

Always dressup! Story mode is fun but a little too easy. Dressup is easy, but when you are the lowest in your rank...its hell
