Game had an early release in the shopping centre near where I live. And got the stealth car pack with it as well.

Disappointed is one word for the game. AI is shithouse, graphics aren't as cutting edge as pretty much every intense GT PS fanboy claims over F3, menu is cluttered, and that's just naming a few things I don't like.
Over 1000 cars and only 200 have full cockpit detailing? C'mon, 5 years in development and they can't do more? At least be able to look around more in the car if you can actually view the cockpit. Even F3 has in-car detailing of every single car (although the amount of cars is nothing compared to the amount GT5 has).
The first thing that struck me in the game that I really didn't like were the details to shadows. Holy shit they're rough. Pixels everywhere. I know it's a relatively minor thing but couldn't they just smoothen them up at least instead of having f**king pixels edges everywhere?
Don't get me wrong, loving the game but it's the tiny things like these that give me the shits from a racing sim.

Although I do agree with the number of premium cars available and rough shadows which they'll probably fix the latter with a patch. From the videos I've seen so far, the AI is really good. Not shithouse like you said. Here's some proof:
I've just bought the game, so I don't know how it's yet. Well if you want to look around the cockpit, just buy the PSEye and use head tracking. I think GT5 is best played with a steering wheel. It's all about the physics of the car. And I'm not a GT5 fanboy, I used to play FM3 in my friends house, while I found the customisation pretty exciting, driving the cars are pretty boring. And what I read and heard is that to get everything out of GT5, you need to be at a really high level in GTLife mode like level 20+. And PD will certainly keep the game up to date, Kazunori said that he'll keep improving it with patches, dlc and so on.

It's a shame just buying the standard edition of this game has rendered me broke so I can't afford any of the fancy stuff. Also I absolutely despise add-on devices that function depending on user movement.

QUOTE (rx-666 @ 1 minute, 29 seconds ago) | im going to ahead and jump on board with it not being that great. yeah the cars without cockpit views you also cant do wheels or aero or anything it seems.
so i got an ek9 instead, and look i can change wheels...theres like 5 to choose from.
other than that it doesnt feel all that much different than gt3 with shiny graphics. im trying to figure out what the spent the last 5 years doing besides modeling the same old tracks sharper and adding some nascars. |
IMO, just GT4 only prettier.

QUOTE (GT3 RS @ 4 minutes, 38 seconds ago) | Wait, how do you do make your stored music play? Im a bit confused.
This game is awesome! Getting used to the physics, but its an awesome game. SSR7 is the best course, well, behind the Top Gear track. |
Have you music saved onto the PS3 harddrive and go to options>hardware>sound settings and it's somewhere there under User BGM.
