Its retarded. Go ahead and put it there if you're not "ballsy" enough to install it in the correct spot where it'll actually work. The only way I can see that being viable would be if it was mirrored on the other side. The angle of entry is pretty poor as well.

Its only dumping pressure from 3 cylinders.

Keep in mind that I'm not just trying to insult you or the car just for the sake of being an ass or anything. It looks like some effort has gone into the build. I just won't compliment something that's poorly engineered. If anything, everyone learns something. The turbo screen is worrisome as well in terms of longevity, and looks like it was done for lack of space. I'm not entirely familiar with the space constraints in that area, but wouldn't it be possible to cut and rotate the flange so you can mount a real filter on there? (as well as get around the large chunk of metal that's in the way of the airflow)

I live in houston, you probably saw a similar car like my around there, i have never drove up to austin.

i understand its only dumpting from the 3 cylinder and can only control boost that way and therotically it suppose to have boost creep. but from my experience of driving it so far and running on the streets, it hasn't have any problems yet. I know its poorly engineered but it has worked out fine for me so far. eventually i would like to change that when i get some custom turbo headers. As for the turbo...i don't know what i was doing. i need a filter, i will design something out of it soon during the coming week. but thanks for the input, good to know someone here actually knows cars well.

Try driving a Deuce and a Half across the country. Hell, drive one for 15 minutes, I promise you, you'll find a reason to want power steering again. laugh.gif

Z31 knowledge starts with "they're awesome", and branches out from there.
