Commander's Log; Grand Admiral J, Kaos Emperor Battlegroup- <RECOVERED>14 Oct 1700hrs : Our crew has detected a derelict vessel roughly a day's trip out of our normal patrol zone. One of my engineering officers recognizes its silhouette as a familiar but older design. Fleet Admiral J^2 has granted us permission to explore the find but insists I transfer my flag to a larger ship with more crew to do so. It is unusual for them to grant dispensation to pursue so far out of the way but long range sensors indicate the wreck is mostly intact. I plan on taking the Fleet admiral and at least 3 other ship captains to explore the find. 15 Oct 1900hrs: I've been told that 'The process of delving into the black abyss is... the keenest form of fascination.' Exploring so far out of our normal range, we encountered the derelict outside the benefit of the radiant sun. We also may need to tap local resources to secure enough fuel for a return trip to the home system as we are now operating on minimal reserves. Despite poor lighting, it is a fascinating find. Received visual confirmation that the vessel is a warship of old but not necessarily ancient design. It might have been fit to be a battleship in its day but by modern standards it would be classified as a heavy destroyer or frigate at best. We are performing several hours of Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) and cataloging this find prior to any further action. Vessel bears odd markings not normally found on these warships in the local systems. 16 Oct 1400hrs: We have returned to starbase and have begun the tedious process of cataloging the findings on the derelict ship. Significant aesthetic differences seem to include control configuration which appears backwards for operation in the local group. How curious. derelict has a sensor cluster mounted on each fender rather than closer to the crew compartments. It appears should they fail or operate poorly, EVA would be the only means of repairing or reorienting them unlike a local vehicle which might be capable of being manually adjusted while vessel is in flight. Vessel as a whole appears rusty but not completely dilapidated. It also does not appear to have suffered damage from battle or collisions. Engine core appears to be a primitive form of propulsion, EFI. Crew was unable to power up engine core while adrift but core appears mostly intact. Crew believes engine was last used between 9 to 6 years ago. 17 Oct 0700hrs: Admiralty Board has contracted a cargo vessel to tow the inoperable derelict back into the home systems. I have to say I'm quite excited to add this to my fleet. Cargo ship captains are a colorful lot often choosing clever or amusing names for their ships. It seems we have chosen wisely. We await decontamination and minor cross checks prior to digging into the find. 18 October 2100hrs: I find moments where I am unnocupied, I start drifting off thinking about the derelict. I think it's speaking to me... I wonder, can a dead car dream?.. No that's nonsense. I'm just tired. I need to get rest. 19 Oct 1500hrs: I met Admiral J^2 at the derelict. Apparently she had been thinking about it as well. She was with a crew replacing the distributor cap and rotor. They are apparently taking the reactivation of this ship seriously. Engineering crew and I replaced the fuel pump and fuel rail, air intake too. I.. I think it's definitely talking to me... Asking me to repair it... oil. Yes. It needs new oil. I.. I will do that. Needs new exhaust. And fuel lines. And then. Then.. You are all mine. hahahahhahhahh. <END RECOVERED DATA>Message from Fleet Command: These are the final logs regarding the 32 year old derelict s130 Fairlady 280Z class destroyer recovered and subsequently reactivated and comandeered by rogue Grand Admiral J before he used it to blast his way out of its drydock and maraud through the home systems before disappearing into hiding. Prior to his turning renegade, he was showing signs of being mentally dominated by an entity which may be related to the vessel itself. The following is an image of the vessel roughly in the shape it was last seen. Vessel expended all armaments blasting out of port. J may be searching for additional replacement components or weapon systems for the vessel. Use caution when dealing with him. He is considered mentally unstable and extremely dangerous. -END TRANSMISSION- This post has been edited by The J on Oct 25 2011, 03:37 PM

Message from Fleet Command: Fleet Admiral J^2 has volunteered to take command of Kaos Emperor Battlegroup to pursue the rogue Grand Admiral J. News excerpt: ...The Imperial Fleet announced today roughly 1 week after the alleged seditious actions of former Grand Admiral J that it was providing reinforcements to the already considerable flotilla of ships allotted for the task of seeking his whereabouts. Two R35 GT-R Dreadnought class heavy cruisers were sighted joining the battlegroup. As citizens may know, the R35 is one of the newest, most advanced dreadnoughts in the fleet, and while a formidable commander, J's vessel would be clearly outmatched by any single one of them. While citizens voice outrage at the amount of resources going into the search, others are growing fearful that the threat posed by J and this single ship may be greater than the Empire cares to reveal. Rumours of fantastical threats aside, sources within the Fleet speculate the reasoning may be personal as fellow GT-R battleship commanders have taken J's betrayal heavily and have thus temporarily aligned themselves with J^2's battlegroup. Kaos Emperor is an older model Skyline GT-R class Battlecruiser which started its service in the Empire as a renegade vessel itself and had been showing signs of operational failure. Admiral J^2 released a statement today as to why she had not transferred her flag to a newer more battleworthy ship: "I don't care if it's not the best ship. It's his ship. I think it only appropriate if we take the fight to him, that's how it's done." Kaos Emperor last appeared to be undergoing retrofit at dry dock with 5Zigen sublight impulse maneuvering modules. Fleet did not release any further comment. Fleet Intelligence Bureau Message: After J was sighted limping his vessel into and out of port, we found the remains of a stock S130 exhaust system discarded at a junk dealer in the Sunland system along with an atmospheric intake and sensor. Study of discarded plugs found on the junk peddler showed evidence of a cake of black carbon, excessive fouling due to an over-rich fuel mixture. Additionally the catalytic converter on the exhaust was nearly completely blocked which is consistent with reports that J's ship entered the system sporting an ominous red glow and in a cloud of black smoke. It stands to reason J may be looking to create a new exhaust system. The Bureau will keep you updated as the mission progresses. -END TRANSMISSION- This post has been edited by The J on Oct 25 2011, 03:34 PM

Battlefleet Arcadia, Admiral Lee's report: A reconnaissance probe returned images of J's vessel in what can only be described as a state of dissembly: The warship's age is quite apparent and it's our opinion that it's no small miracle that anything works at all. The vessel appears to be undergoing extensive tear down and systems diagnostics. J or the vessel haven't moved for some time and I disagree with the Fleet Admiral's opinion that we need to wait for J to act before making our move. She feels premature action could force him to go to ground and therefore cause us to lose our lead. For the moment I defer to her judgment and assemble the fleet and ready our crews for battle. -END TRANSMISSION-

Message from Fleet Command; Field Commander Day, Z Vessel Research Division, - <RECOVERED>: My crew and I have been monitoring the situation since J's Z car transited into realspace right on top of us. We were doing routine R&D on some components for 70s era Z vessel retrofit when it arrived. The vessel and its facilities immediately began jettisoning its damaged ablative outer armor. It then salvaged its sensor clusters off the damaged plating and tucked it into its cargo hold. We watched the vessel destroy another derelict Z and strip it of its armor plating. J's engineers work fast. Attached are images we captured of the construction of a telemetry rig for the outfitting of the old sensors onto the new armor. So far the ship hasn't taken notice f us. Maybe the Admiral doesn't think we're any threat. We'll continue transmitting as long as we can. <END RECOVERED DATA>
These are the final logs of Commander Day and the science vessel Alero. Upon Kaos Emperor Battlegroup's arrival at the scene, the entire Z research division and their vessels were unaccounted for. Several ribbons of unburned fuel consistent with a mis-sequenced L28 drive core were detected by basic sensors. Salvage recovery indicates a reasonable amount of material attributable to at least 2 Z vessels and other minor parts of miscellaneous craft were found as debris. Due to the condition and level of damage to the debris found , Z Vessel Research Division in the Maple system and all associated vessels and crew are feared to have been destroyed in battle. -END TRANSMISSION-

Recieving priority one distress call from:![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/FairladyZbadge.png) System patrols have detected inbound, unidentified vessel approaching the system at high speed. Partial image and silhouette acquired. After resolving further images, we can confirm the target matches the model and configuration of our missing Z car. Advise extreme caution. Stand by for further details as they become available -END TRANSMISSION-

URGENT MESSAGE FROM FLEET COMMANDBattlegroup Sigma in Valencia picked up J's trail. We detected J's warship with a severely damaged computer core. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/S2170002.jpg) ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/S2170001.jpg) It had made dock at an armored repair bay where an extensive transplant took place. Battlegroup Sigma joined by Kaos Emperor Battlegroup laid siege to the facility. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S2110035.jpg) ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S1450027.jpg) Our fleet was kept at bay by other renegade anachronistic vessels. Each one was heavily modified and capable of standing toe to toe with modern craft. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S1450018.jpg) ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S14500151.jpg) ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S1450001.jpg) ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S1450026.jpg) We believed that in its damaged state, we could take down J's Fairlady. However repairs were effected much faster than anticipated. Stories of J executing crew to motivate productivity remain unverified. The following information was returned by the combined battlegroup prior to losing J's trail again. These images indicate a replacement advanced computer core specifically tailored for the vessel. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/imagejpeg_3.jpg) ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/imagejpeg_1.jpg) Images taken of other renegades who escaped our blockade. They are wanted for providing aid and comfort to the enemy. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/S2350004.jpg) This footage was taken and continues to be analyzed by our specialists of the final calibrations before launch. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/th_10-14-2012_130441.jpg) Most disturbing of all, our battlefleet was decimated in the process of bringing us this information. ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Autoshow/Simtec/S2110018.jpg) It is surprising that so many have chosen to support and abet a clearly misguided sociopath. It is suspected that J's Fairlady is nearly fully operational and extremely dangerous. -END TRANSMISSION- This post has been edited by The J on Oct 20 2012, 07:16 AM

Message from Fleet Command: Recent evidence has surfaced that an attack by a rogue Hyundai freighter dealt moderate damage to J's cruiser while it was at port. ![user posted image](https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/483389_10100203628683432_402057558_n.jpg) The Hyundai was defeated and its crew parleyed resources for the ransom of the vessel commander who did not wish to report the damage to their vessel to Alliance authorities. but as can be seen repairs need to be effected to the port egress hatch. The image also shows the ablative hull plating in action. There is every reason to assume J will simply replace the armor piece with his raided resources and move on from what he doubtless considers a minor nuisance. -END TRANSMISSION-

Official release from Fleet Command:Recently declassified images of negotiations with the renegade J are available and attached with this release. J has slowly been reopening communications ever since his vessel The S130 Fairlady designation Uncrowned Sovereign began what was an apparent mental domination of he and his crew. Readers will remember, a year and a half ago it randomly and uncontrollably marauded through allied space. It now appears that with the return of lucidity in the crew, that it was the damaged computer core of the ship that was driving them mad. Now that the machine intelligence has been reined in, J made a statement in regards to it and his behavior: ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/20130303_170106_zpsb210a548.jpg) "When we found this vessel we immediately set to work fixing her; we felt as if we were being compelled to do so. When we got it operational, most of the crew went mad and the car being difficult to operate was totally out of control. We now know that repairing the computer core and other ancillary components restored sanity to the machine intelligence and in turn the crew. Living with this car for the last year and driving it almost every day has allowed us to get to know Reina chan... <frustrated cough> I'm sorry the Sovereign a little better. The core replacement also erased many of the ancient memories she had but we're working on giving her a new life and purpose. On the early raids, she was looking for components to repair herself without any restraint or input; And for that, on behalf of my car and crew, I apologize." ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/20130303_170348_zps67d0e1fa.jpg) The vessel itself appears mostly intact since it last took damage and the interior is beginning to show the comforts of home: ![user posted image](http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t165/jkaiba/Sovereign/20130303_170657_zps463484ec.jpg) Repairing the structural integrity field and inertial dampers are high on the agenda of new repairs to take place. It is debatable whether this car and crew will be allowed back into society but for now they appear content. Attached is a good will cruise with Admiral J^2 through the Sands Canyon pass at the conclusion of the negotiations.

Some of you may be aware that the original reactor core of the Fairlady suffered a critical system failure and stranded its crew in Orange County for roughly one day.
