I could have been able to pick it up today if I had a car to go there this evening. Unfortunately I had to stay at home at that time period because my mother needed the car.

WHY MUST THE BOOKLET PRICE IT UP TO P2700?!
Was gonna buy but the booklet says otherwise. My budget was only P2200 (it's nearly the regular price for most new releases is P2095.) If I get the limited edition with the booklet, I'll only use the booklet for 3 days and it'll cover dust. Mom said that the booklet's not worth the half-thou add-on. Obliged to her wishes.
HOWEVER.
I did reserve for the disc only release. I'm not after the limited edition versions. I JUST WANT MY MCLAREN F1 GTR BASE MODEL ADRIANNA IN ORANGE! AND ALL THOSE OTHER BASE MODEL GT CARS.

Booklet has so much autism man, you can study engineering with just that book. To my surprise the booklet doesn't have enough other content than that of GT5's Apex book. That one is a car guide and even has information on photography too. In truth it wasn't worth the extra money for the book.
I could have just bought a digital copy instead with an instant upgrade to 15th Anniversary edition models INCLUDING THE PRE-ORDER MODELS!!

Well Day 1 up up for GT6 so here is my little review:
The menus are alot different then any other GT game, it reminds me alot of Prologue on PS3 being that it isn't a 'road map' type system like 1-4 but horizontal unlike 5. The physics are alot different, I was a very good wheel drifting in GT5 and enjoyed lots on tandems, but in GT6 I struggle alot which is a good thing. The G27 gives great road feel, hitting red/white curbs REALLY effects your driving too. The tire physics have definitely improved as well. One thing that I noted and shocked me is through the wheel, I can feel the front differential on LSD equip FF cars lock a little as you exit corners, something I did not feel in GT5. The car selection (being no UCD) looks insane having every single model in the game available from the get-go. The standard car do look much better too, but not quite 'HD' at all.
Things I don't like...sounds are basically the same minus the tire noise which does sound alot better...and there is still standard cars. Overall it's not like it's GT5.5, but I do hope for more DLC to fix these complaints everyone has.
Also, money doesn't seem that easy to come by.
I already got my Innocent Blue Spirit-R, and my Amemiya GT300 RX-7 (My most used cars in any GT, it's a religon) on day one, I have pics but I'm late to an event and cfb uploading them right now. I'll check in later.

The payout is smaller than expected, but it covers enough to spend on necessary tuning if you wish to go that route to win races.
Some nice features include better sounds, especially the tires to say the least. The sounds everyone keeps complaining about doesn't sound too obstructive now when racing, they are toned down a little.
Really a lot has changed from GT5 to GT6, it doesn't feel like the same game at all even when you drive around a circuit featured since GT5.
Lighting is only a tad bit dark, a fix to +0.5 exposure brightness and it looks much real.
Speaking of real, this game just defined real I think.

I know what real tires sound like, but in GT6 it literally sounds like the tires are going from full grip, to no grip to full grip...Like if you were to take a piece of rubber and drag it along marble, it skips, it's not smooth. That's what it sounds like, and it feels unnatural.
As far as pics, the new race photo mode is awesome, they finally fixed the Anti-aliasing smoke issue...:

I can't wait to get the game. Unfortunately, my area got hit by an ice storm Thursday night. Roads have been frozen over since then, and tomorrow the high is supposed to be 40 degrees, the first time above freezing since Thursday night. So, I'm hoping the roads will be melted tomorrow. Until that happens, I'm going through GTA5's story again.
As for the book mentioned above, I'll be getting that free. It was a free upgrade at GameStop.
Now, that that's out of the way, GTPlanet had the oppurtunity to interview Kaz at the GT6 launch party in Spain.
QUOTE
Yesterday, you mentioned Ayrton Senna and the fact that Gran Turismo might never have been made without him. Why is Senna such an important figure for you, and how will you integrate his legacy into the game?
“I think there were two things that I learned from Ayrton Senna, one was simply how incredible motor racing is, and the other thing was his constant strive for perfection. I was very young then, watching him, and I was very affected by his drive for perfection. I think there was a period of time there where probably 90% of everything in my mind was Ayrton Senna! So, when I review the subject of Senna, it’s hard to keep calm. Even the opening movie, I realize it’s a bit sentimental, but I think there’s a lot of people out there in the world that share the same sentiment with me. In regards to the collaborations we’re going to do with the Ayrton Senna institute, the goal is to do something around May of next year, which would be the 20th year after his passing. Honestly speaking, I think Senna, his figure is just someone who is forever in history, and there is no need for us to re-express what he is. But there is a generation of Gran Turismo players who don’t know who Ayrton Senna is, and I thought that it was our last opportunity to convey who he was to that generation, because it’s already been twenty years. I thought he might end up being a figure like Jim Clark, and I thought the idea of someone like Ayrton Senna being half-forgotten, it’s just something I could not let go. Right now, today, is really our last opportunity to remind people of him while exposing him to a new generation. When I went to Brazil and spoke to his family, we shared the same feelings about this, and I was told that when Senna’s mother viewed the opening movie that you saw yesterday, she said it put her in tears and said that it was wonderful.”
Were you disappointed at all that you couldn’t launch GT6 on the PlayStation 4?
“We are eventually going to do that anyway, and we really don’t think it’s a hindrance or a bad thing to release on the PS3. We say that because the performance of consoles today are sort of reaching their saturation point, where we’re not jumping up in performance as much as we used to with each new generation. And, the data that we use today for the PS3 is the data that we will take directly into the PS4. We created GT6 with that assumption that things are going to be carried over into the future; we’re not in a rush.”
You mentioned the Senna content in May, can you give us any sort of timeline as to when we can expect the other major features to be released, such as the Course Maker, online community features, etc.?
“We don’t have a definite order yet of things, but, you know, January, February, March, April, May, etc., we have updates planned for each of those months, and there are actually more things too which we still can’t mention! [Laughs.] We do already have a big update coming in December, and in January there will probably be two big updates. And that’s because there’s a lot of things, such as the unveiling of new cars, which we have no control over.”
Can you tell us a bit more about the Vision Gran Turismo concepts? How did they come about and how keen were manufacturers to be involved?
“As I mentioned in the presentation, our message to the automobile manufacturers was very simple, and it was if they would be willing to create a ‘Gran Turismo’ car, or sports car, for Gran Turismo and the players of Gran Turismo. At first, my expectations weren’t that high, and I thought maybe if three manufacturers said OK, that would make me very happy. But, in reality, a lot more came back and said ‘Oh yes, we would love to do that!’ So, I realized then just how much Gran Turismo is loved by the automobile manufacturers as well. And, I think with each of these Vision GT projects, there are well over a hundred people working on each of these cars, and the response that we’ve had from each of them is that they are really enjoying being involved with their car. People really seem to be having fun with this, and I hope that will carry on with players as they get to drive the cars.”
Can you describe the status of the DeltaWing at the moment?
“It’s in there, two versions. One is the black DeltaWing, with the Nissan livery, and the other is with the new chrome livery, that’s being raced now by Mr. Panoz.”
What is your favorite new car in Gran Turismo 6?
“I would say it’s the C7 Corvette. It’s a good looking car, and then when you drive it, you see that it’s an excellent car.”
Can you explain what inspired you to include the Lunar Rover in GT6?
“Ha! It’s a long history! It actually started in a brainstorming session, when we were talking about the astronomical simulation for the game. As we became more focused and deeper in that project, worried about creating the stars and planets accurately, we started worrying about the details of the moon surface. It actually came to a point where we had actually created the moon’s surface fairly accurately. Then, it just came to mind that, with the technology we have now, that we probably could do a driving simulation on the moon. And, this time around, we established a really good relationship with GM, around the Corvette. The Lunar Rover has an interesting history behind it, and GM actually introduced us to the original designer of the rover, and we found out that GM even owns the rights to the Lunar Rover now, and then we decided that we had to include it. Next came the challenge of actually re-creating the moon’s surface in the game. There’s a Japanese space agency called JAXA – it’s like our version of NASA – and they have a satellite which is basically used exclusively for surveillance of the moon. We learned that, using that satellite, we could actually get very accurate data we could use to re-create the lunar surface. So, we went to JAXA, asked if they could provide accurate geometric data about the moon’s surface, and it just all came together – we had the lunar surface and the rights to use the Lunar Rover in the game. Then we started talking about where we were actually going to let people drive it, and we decided we wanted it to be where the Apollo 15 mission astronauts actually drove it. So, that’s really how it all took shape! And, as a result, there are side effects from that. The stars are much more visible from the moon’s surface rather than the Earth’s, and the Earth viewed from the moon is beautiful!”
Why is astronomy so important for you to include in a driving simulator?
“It’s something that I mentioned in the presentation as well, but we are looking to accurately re-create everything in the environment around the cars, and we are just doing it one thing at a time. For example, if you’re driving on Mount Panorama, and around nightfall you’re going to start seeing the planets in the sky and the stars; it’s part of the racing experience and we want to do it right and make sure that it’s represented, just as the clouds and rain and everything else is.”
You mentioned during the presentation that you want to make GT6 more accessible to new players, and some people have noticed that some driving aids are forced on when doing things like the license tests. How do you make the game accessible to new players while also challenging to players who may have been playing for the last 15 years?
“There is quite a bit of depth to mastering a car, and we can keep providing all sorts of events like that which challenge you through online updates, and of course people in the community can set up things like that as well. For first time players to Gran Turismo, it needs to be on the same level as it was in GT1, where everything was explained to them and everything was easy to do. If you go back to play GT1 now you realize how user friendly it was, and how easy it was to drive. It pulls you in and that’s important.”

Yeah, its a decent buy imo.
Also, with 605hp in GT5, my FD3S managed a 227mph top speed. Now the car is graced with an extra 80hp however it appears my top speed is the same usung the optimal gearing and no aero mods (Only lip) like before. I was a bit disappointed.
Also the JZA80 Supra can get 890hp according to JDMMA70, definitely more then its GT5 counterpart.
Money still hard to come by, haven't added anything else yet to the stable. Saving my money!

i'll be happy to receive and be playing this game soon
we definitely have to set up another online room, the time differences are a bit of a pain but i guess it just restricts us to weekends (most you guys would be busy during the week anyway right?)

Most definitely sir! I do agree, we can figure it out, I'd like to make it a weekly thing if possible.

So in GT6 every ordinary car can turn into a GOD damn sleeper. You have to thank the now OP forced induction parts and even the default suspension settings that were done by KW Suspension GmbH themselves.

Well, still no pics becuse I'm too bust racing to upload.
So I figured out the FDs top speed issue, DO NOT INSTALL FLAT FLOORS FOR HIGH SPEED CARS. It's about a 25-35pp gain but I haven't noticed a difference yet as far as handling goes. I need to take it out on Tsukuba and lap it. Removed flat floors, went from a 227mph top speed to 263mph top speed. So this little guy moves, even though I'm not building it to be a straight line car at all, just fun.
Already got some miles on the 'Shinobu' the GT300 7, and I'll be adding a new steed to my collection tonight. It's crazy I've gotten the money together this fast but hell, I guess I got the GT300 car on day one.

So, after a day with the game, here are my first impressions.
SPOILER
Pros -Physics. They're fun and at times challenging to me. So much better than GT5's. I'm still using the driving line...after a day in GT5 I didn't need that. -Car selection. Most of the new stuff is European and American, which is good. I think it does balance the overall lineup a bit more. -Car dealers. Every car is available to purchase new, but it's not entirely a good thing. -Goodwood FoS. I'm going to spend alot of time there. -Photo mode. Another place I'm going to spend alot of time at. -Customization. While the same as GT5, there are a few more options. And, the paint chips are no longer "one and done" apparently; once you get them, you can use it however many times you want.
Cons -Sounds. Kind of expected, but they do sound a bit better. -Car dealers. Having every single car in the dealer isn't entirely good. Who wants to go through 10 pages of Skylines, or 5 pages of Miatas? -Car lineup. Get rid of the dupes. We don't need 50 Skylines. Also, some notable cars got left out (P1, LaFerrari, among others). Other manufacturers need more, newer cars, like RUF, Holden, Vauxhall, and Volvo. -Personal BGM. It's a bug that will just play the same track on your playlist over and over again. The only way you can change songs is by restarting the race, or selecting another song in the options. Hoping PD fixes this very soon, because it's infuriating. -Customization. No livery editor. No color mixer. -Photo mode. 4 locations in Photo Travel. GT4 had so many locations from all over the world. -Prize cars. I have completed 5 series, plus the N license tests and the B missions, yet I have only recieved two prize cars. This is an extremely weak point. In past games, you got a prize car after every series.
Overall, 8/10.
