Oh, more queries to ask to those who bought the limited edition, for those saving up money / waiting for the standard version release (I still have a bad grudge at that catalogue and hardbound casing for appraising the price beyond my financial allowance):
> How does the GTAuto menu look like? Any new features? > In terms of Aero parts, what are the new ones for the premiums? Are they getting new lips/bumpers and more wings? For the standard ones, other than wings, what do they get? > Are the rims model specific or all rims for all models (excluding those that can't be applied) > How would you rate the improvement of the standard models going semi-premium? Are they on par with the premiums now minus the interior/cockpit absence?
---------------
@Normalaastra,
So you're saying that (like in the TXR series), power upgrades/parts affect the weight of the car too by a certain amount?

QUOTE (Gunma's 34 @ 1 hour, 25 minutes ago) | snip |
EDIT: Due to wall of text, I have place pictures within the paragraphs to make the post more appealing. >GT Auto An entire column in the main menu is dedicated to GT Auto. It loads super quickly to open up the store categories, but switching back and forth to different menus may be the newest test in your patience. Tuning parts and racing gear are moved there. You can also switch your car simultaneously by opening the Start menu and change the car, no moatter where you were in the middle of the menu. You can scout custom parts on the car like body kits, and change the car from that screen. This goes as well to tuning parts, paint, and servicing. Racing gear can also be bought at GT Auto, and color can be selected from selected presets. >Aero parts There are several new parts depending on car. Aero parts now cover a full range instead of different individual parts. In this case, the only aero parts right now cover front bumper (spoilers) and side skirts. No changes to rear bumper are possible, but at this time a substitute for that would be flat floors. Flat floors are the newest Aero parts available to GT Auto. It installs a flat surface underneath the car to improve underflow. However installing flat floors also includes a rear diffuser (that's the rear bumper substitute), and the diffusers disrupt top speed airflow, but helps cornering. There are also a new section of Aero parts too, under the "Other" category. At this stage, it only covers headlamp parts. This only exists for a small number of cars however. >Wings To my surprise they are categorized the same way as MT does, with one collection containing 2D wings, another containing 3D, some car type spoilers (they actually are spoilers from GT4-5 plus brand new types of spoilers), etc. New spoilers are more bold this time, they don't look like thin spoilers, but it's width may be much wider or much smaller than you could expect. >Rims Rims are only specific to car models if you wish to keep the wheel size the same as that of the original rim's diametre. If you choose to buy a larger one (Inch 1 up, inch 2 up), you choose the entire rims collection to choose. Some new brands include O.Z. wheels, Hayashi, TE37SL's, and more original rims based on wheel spokes made by GT Auto. >Standards (GT Auto) Not much is new. Wings only still. But the new wings and older wings are covered too, so at least they got some more options. Nothing for Aero unfortunately. Not even the semi-premiums. >Semi-premiums The updated standard models look fantastic for a PS3 game of high quality. Some may look even sharper despite showing some classic era modeling in various parts of the car (window panels is one). The new lighting physics make them look premium from a couple foot's distances apart, so finally the standards look pleasing to glance at too. Sometimes when I go race against one, I question whether they are updated or not, and I have to get very close to them and pause the game to see whether it's true or not. >Your question You took it the wrong way, but yes, parts do effect weight now. What I really meant is that you can now change what parts you want in your car at free will. This post has been edited by Normalaatsra on Dec 10 2013, 07:25 PM

Well, added a Raybrig HSV-010 to the garage and got this. I'm done all Goodwood/Lunar and all races and licenses are gold. Only thing I haven't done are any of the one-make races. So this makes it in chronological order of oldest to newest in garage: Spirit R RX-7 Amemiya GT300 RX-7 R32 Skyline GT-R R33 Skyline GT-R 787B Stealth Sauber C9 Raybrig HSV-010 + A few cars I won from license/race completion that I kept. And now to buy myself the Ueno Tokyo Mclaren F1 and more GT500 cars. I need to tune my Pikes Peak Quattro and Diablo GT2 to see if they are any good.
