Whatever you do, it's your call, Antares. If you wanna reboot, that's fine for me. Short is short, but it's an experience nonetheless.

Do know this: If you need suggestions on anything, I am there...other than Gunma's 34.

Rin's there too, And I'm just another writer. I'm lazy and hardly bother myself to read due to my inflated ego, but i want to read yet at the same time make myself a hypocrite.

I took a good look back at my old files, compilations and it ended up being 2.5 at over 400 pages total with 50+ files and 4 folders... dated back from 2008 ideas to 2009 written, til now... damn. That's as long as gunma i think.

I'm here as well when it comes to technical shit... I'm also a consultant to Kuroi and Kenzz, and I'm sure as hell that I can help you out too if you need it.

^ Antares, a suggestion if I may:

I.N. is, in my opinion; unmatched when it comes to suggesting and recommending cars for characters befitting their personality and status. It would be wise if you seek advice from him. =)

It would be amazing if you broaden your reboot story's variety of cars instead of just limiting to Japanese tuners all the time. That way, the readers would be able to appreciate more models that were otherwise not known much in Japanese anime series save for Porsche or Ferrari. sweatingbullets.gif

Antares, if you want to contact me, I recommend you to do it through chat, preferably Windows Live or Skype. If the former, then I could hit you up with certain familiar faces smile.gif

EDIT: Also, I can re-do your title image and stuff, though that's up to you.

Okay, Antares, since you're rebooting this. I am going to suggest you the very first important thing.

Your characters. Reboot them. PRONTO.

They lack...unique character in their portrayal of driving persona as well as charisma...also...their age. Please, under all means, do not turn this into another Initial D that involves young teenagers driving like professionals. There's always so much a talent gene can stretch to someone that hasn't hit puberty yet.

It's okay if your main heroes are slightly older like in their middle 20s. There's no need to always use teenage years for heroes in stories, as it would be very tedious and boring to be honest if all of them are super OP teenage drivers that would risk their lives on driving at highway over 300 km/h all the time.

Consistency is the key to good believable characters, friend. smile.gif

Also...don't make them too OP in their driving skills. If they're intended to be beginners, make it look like they're still learning instead of just being talented. Just a reality check out of all; you cannot learn heel and toe in just one week/month period. It takes a lot of time before you mastered drifting even. So...take sometime and take it easy on the growth of characters in driving skills. =)

That's all I can offer to you for now.

Woah. Didn't expect this many people to appear.

@Andre
I currently have a list of cars for my characters planned out, I might hit you up on Skype soon and see what you think of it.

@Rin
YES! YOU GOT ME RIGHT THERE! Consistency's one of the main reasons that drove me to this decision, and I'm really going to take note of what you said there. I need something special for this reboot, and I think you just made me think more. biggrin.gif

Just remember that it's okay for you to make your characters older if they're going to be skilled. Elder drivers tend to have more experience and that can boost the talent gene if they mean business, rather than green rookies of teen's age on generic anime heroes' perks.

Extra 2 cents. smile.gif

Here's my two cents too, brother:

You're characters maybe anime inspired to a degree... but it's also great if you could make them more human so to speak... making your characters as such will enable your readers to relate to them better and even care about them. That's probably one of the reasons why I'm enjoying kuroi's PSE; while the characters and the overall situation is on the anime-inspired side of the fence, they are also human in the sense that the reader could relate to them in such a way that they know that these characters, minus their anime appearance, are very much possible in real life.

If you need any more tips on how to make your characters a bit more human, you might want to check the Spiderman comics by Marvel - Stan Lee and many of the writers who succeeded him in making the Spiderman stories did a great job in making sure that the readers can relate to him outside his super-powered adventures smile.gif

@Kuroi
Sorry, I can't help but to make an example out of your ongoing work tongue.gif

Oh, sorry I didn't post any updates on this laugh.gif

With final exams nearing and project coming at me left and right, I think the earliest time I can post the start of the reboot of Saisoku no Gaiden would be early April, and that's still tentative. I'll do my best to start working on it as soon as school ends though. biggrin.gif
