Well I am Vancouver guy and dead sure no where in US or Canada getting MT4 because its hella big and expensive machine even TW charges 2x the $ for playing MT4 they charge for ID7 (eg. ID7= 4tokens , MT4= 7tokens) Vancouver have ID7 and thats because its a ID 5 machine, just need a update while its running old old firmware and NO ONLINE connection(the cards used in old old firmware cannot be used on new ONLINE ID7 'stupid') So Vancouver cards belongs in Vancouver, and we are talking Vancouver, a city filled with Asian players in Richmond and Burnaby. We are basically the only North American city to have BattleGear4 Onlined with keys (one more city somewhere and thats it).
We have 2 jubeats (kinda out dated, but not fully out) and a reflecbeat (fxcking out dated) but I asked the boss that supplied these machines for the arcade to rent, and he said this is the best he can do. Servers are a problem in general and the new MT4 requires too much work and investment.
hope this didn't disappoint too much people (including myself) because the new MT4 is so damn good, i loved the HD and details and music now compared to ID7 I have to say this is bit more realistic now. Funny how I thought MT was suppose to be too fancy compared to ID back in the days Guess ID require too much skills many people just dont want to spend the time Anyways i still play both and had fun

QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ 6 minutes, 11 seconds ago) | I might get flamed for making this comment. Given the current business/market situation of Arcade Gaming in the US, personally I doubt WMMT4 will at least make it big there, if it will even make it at all, given the operating costs of the game itself as I learned from one of the arcade companies operating it. Basically it fall to Namco's exorbitant charging of the online connection to utilize the Banapass network. According to the Philippine branch of Timezone, Namco charges them PHP 21.00 (about US 50c) for each time someone plays a 1 game of WMM4 to use the online connection. In order to even get a bare minimum profit from this, Timezone thus charges PHP 50.00 (over US 1.00) per game. I can only imagine the financial nightmares the Arcade gaming centers in the US would face trying to operate WMM4 there (i.e. would it be fine for you guys there in America to pay 4 quarters per game of WMM4?). |
Hey, you see Australia playing it at $3/game, where the conversion rate between USD and AUD is close to each other; where the older 3DX/DX+ is priced at $2/game and you don't see them ranting about it.
