Amusement Expo is happening next week. Lets hope that Namco brought MT4 to USA shores to show off. If not it doesn't look good.

I think North America will not see the light of Maximum Tune 4 at all.....

I wish Toronto gets it.. But then WMMT3 is dead in Toronto. Arcade is dying too.

Oh well...

If North America doesn't get Maximum Tune 4...

We still have Original Maximum Tune 3 in some arcades...

And 3DX+ in California and other arcades out there ^^

Other than that...

I still play XBOX360 and PC games for the time being...

Maximum Tune will just be if I see it, ill play 2 or 3 games and thats it lol

NAMCO America ®

This website is the site where most arcade stores buy their games from...

I don't see Maximum Tune 4:( and I believe they discontinued on selling Max Tune series they only repair or send parts out for arcade stores that still own Max Tune 1,2,3 games.

Then send them a formal e-mail / petition showing that American customers want WMMT4. Tell them of Chevrolet being added on the lineup if they're that meticulous about the car lineup.

You have to charge credits to the machine via the server or the game cannot be played. It locks the machine.

I sent an email to namco america and this is the reply I got back:

QUOTE

Thanks for your interest and for being a fan of the series.

We are always looking for ways to bring all of our products here to the US. Unfortunately, I have no update as to the possibility of MAXI 4 here in the US at this time.

All the USA people need to call these guys or email them to let them know that you're interested in MT4 and that they should get it here.

There are at least 4 locations that want it in Hawaii and 10+ in California alone.

Well I am Vancouver guy and dead sure no where in US or Canada getting MT4
because its hella big and expensive machine even TW charges 2x the $ for playing MT4 they charge for ID7 (eg. ID7= 4tokens , MT4= 7tokens)
Vancouver have ID7 and thats because its a ID 5 machine, just need a update while its running old old firmware and NO ONLINE connection(the cards used in old old firmware cannot be used on new ONLINE ID7 'stupid') So Vancouver cards belongs in Vancouver, and we are talking Vancouver, a city filled with Asian players in Richmond and Burnaby. We are basically the only North American city to have BattleGear4 Onlined with keys (one more city somewhere and thats it).

We have 2 jubeats (kinda out dated, but not fully out) and a reflecbeat (fxcking out dated) but I asked the boss that supplied these machines for the arcade to rent, and he said this is the best he can do. Servers are a problem in general and the new MT4 requires too much work and investment.

hope this didn't disappoint too much people (including myself)
because the new MT4 is so damn good, i loved the HD and details and music now compared to ID7 I have to say this is bit more realistic now. Funny how I thought MT was suppose to be too fancy compared to ID back in the days
Guess ID require too much skills many people just dont want to spend the time
Anyways i still play both and had fun

Toronto has bg4 online but under hk server, also my id7 from Vancouver works with online machines here in guangzhou

E-amusement not work is becuz komani never set up a server here, jubeat was never really popular here in north America during the test periods

Initial d never set up anything here period

I know the owners of the machines, the problem is money is tight & its not like how it used to be where everyone is so serious

Upgrade kit would be pricey as hell, so this is the best they can get

Funny though since I noticed you guys have Tekken Tag Tournament 2 @ your arcades (evident from rankings I saw from the TTT2 Terminal @ my nearby video arcade...yeah they do show the American rankings in their loop...and yeah sometimes I love watching fight replays after I've done with my WMMT fix whistling.gif )...so it's kinda unfair that WMMT4 would not be included in America...all the more when they have included your AMERICAN MUSCLE in it sleep.gif

Then again...like what N643 says it could be from budget problems...not to mention the home video gaming consoles (the PS3...Xbox 360) which basically have made the video arcades unpopular (who wants to waste major $$ while you can get to play any stuff you like for less...excluding d-loadable content though)...so yeah ermm2.gif

I might get flamed for making this comment. Given the current business/market situation of Arcade Gaming in the US, personally I doubt WMMT4 will at least make it big there, if it will even make it at all, given the operating costs of the game itself as I learned from one of the arcade companies operating it. Basically it fall to Namco's exorbitant charging of the online connection to utilize the Banapass network. According to the Philippine branch of Timezone, Namco charges them PHP 21.00 (about US 50c) for each time someone plays a 1 game of WMM4 to use the online connection. In order to even get a bare minimum profit from this, Timezone thus charges PHP 50.00 (over US 1.00) per game. I can only imagine the financial nightmares the Arcade gaming centers in the US would face trying to operate WMM4 there (i.e. would it be fine for you guys there in America to pay 4 quarters per game of WMM4?).

Hey, you see Australia playing it at $3/game, where the conversion rate between USD and AUD is close to each other; where the older 3DX/DX+ is priced at $2/game and you don't see them ranting about it.

ppl go to arcades in north america just for convinces, plus i bet that namco screwed up somewhere in the past with north american markets which is why they decided to not import DX or plus (if your arcade has it then they bought it from a 3rd party company)
