It's about one more year till i become 16, and he is about to buy me a car. Would a '98 Miata be good for a first car? I'm going to use it as a college car.

Depends on the car's condition though, it'd be quite a good choice if you can find one in great condition but somehow it comes off as a flashy car too so it will definitely turn some heads. happy.gif

You could always choose a reliable war horse of the '80s?

Oh wait, these kinds of cars are not well-maintained in this god-forsaken country.

BTW Sir PMCD, which dealership did you go to, and where is it located? I'm planning on asking my mom to buy me my own car, hopefully a cheap import that I can tune.

I'll ask my dad, we have our own dealership though. It's Buendia Auto Exchange.
Link here There are more units than in the link, you could head down there if you want. We couldn't find a Miata in our dealership that's why we went out of the box. laugh.gif

Meh, I don't plan on buying ricer Civics, I want to go with a little extra "head-turner" appeal (maybe an MR2, for instance).

Actually, the MR2 was my first option, MR-S if possible, i found one MR-S for less than 500k, but i thought about it's maintenance...

There was also an MR2 being sold here for 300K+, with many aftermarket tuning parts installed. But it wasn't the time yet...

BTW what generation of the Roadster are you buying? The NA or the NB?

The NA8C. I haven't seen it personally yet, though.
