Hey guys long time member here but dont post much. For well over 20 years I've been dying to see the original Wangan Midnight movies but due to no subtitles I never got a chance to see it. Now with technology I decided to take a stab at subbing this movie. I am by no means an expert at editing, subbing movies. Im just your average joe who loves the anime. I used google translate along with DeepL and my own personal knowledge of the anime and just car culture in general.

This took me well over 40 hours to complete. I am no computer wiz. I used VLC player and windows notepad to complete this. By no way are these subtitles accurate in anway. I have zero knowledge on the Japanese language. But I think these subs will give any average joe a basic understanding of whats going on.

To use these you will have to have a file copy of the original 1991 Wangan Midnight movie. I downloaded the movie from Wangan memories channel on YT. You can use any YT downloader to copy the film to your hardrive. You can find the movie here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvExkI_65bc&t=350s

I recommend using VLC player to watch the film. All you have to do is take the SRT file that I provided here and just drag it into the VLC player while the movie is playing.

I just finished these and Im sure there can be small tweaks done with timing or better translations to be had. Im a bit drained from completing this and dont know when ill do the fine tweaking of the file. You can take the file and open it in word pad and modify it to your liking . Hope you enjoy
