oh and, it was nice to see someone else using the chaser for battles hahah. i was gonna switch to mine but it wasn't in the front 5 and i didnt want to get off since my seat would be taken pretty quick -.-

This looks really, really nice. Always love seeing this car played, so many ways to make it look good. It's such a shame it's so bad in this game, I still have it ingrained in me from all the way back in Gran Turismo 1 that the GTO is one of the fastest cars haha.

I honestly don't think they are that bad. I mean, sure, compared to most top tiers it's complete trash, but it really just requires a super considered driving style due to the crazy sliding. Top speed and accel are actually quite good.

I made one from a discard, this just inspired me to tune it! Also, my god, what a beautiful car.

It's ranked 64th out of 67 cars in MT5. It's top-tier on both Wangans, top third on NBL CW, and dead middle on both Yokohane's, but everywhere else it's bottom tier, even dead last on a few tracks.

Granted, I don't know if that's from actual car performance or lack of use by top tier time attack players. Such a tragic car, I want it to be so much better than it is.

The gto has the possibility of being the worst non traffic jdm,
cons of gto,
bad accel from gear 1-4 but much better on 5 and 6, reaching high speed is still slow for a 6 gear car,
car does not retain speed on corners and loses them quickly so you need to turn really early,
in house battle boost is weak sometimes feels non existence compared to e9 although it is there,
there is not a single course that the gto has advantage in like how rotaries has advantage in hakone, some course like fuku is a death sentence,
small movements can be futile, big and multiple movements may be needed,

things i gathered that players complain about,
car is too long and heavy, slides out when cornering and the length makes cornering restrictive,
car is slow slow slow,
just a bum from the back can push the car off when cornering,
boost is pathetic,

heres my personal opinion about the car,
it actually has an easy handling, its not difficult to use,
although its true that a bum can push you out on corners the same can be said for fd,
despite the claims that it is slidey i have never found it slidey, turn earlier than other cars would and that will fix the problem, i know it is overall slower but the s15 also turns like this,
the car doesnt really feel heavy itself but opponents will find it heavy when their cars comes in contact with your gto,
speed penalty is painful if you made a mistake but its balanced by being able to take hits better than a crown, the crown however is overall better because it is more agile and can turn corners better

lol still better then my eunos, ppl turn away from it right when i tell them its 4gears

so test drive over before it starts lol

also your not using it right lol, fuku is a easy for gto as all u do is use the weight lol (just like c1)

seriously becuz of stronger boost, cars like gto and eunos have been boosted lol

where got easy? Push jam you to the wall see how you overtake, you can do the same with cosmo and gto also but if they are sooooo good how come every country is flooded with bandwagons?

And bandwagons also have been boosted so your eunos cosmo boost and my gto boost are nothing compared to bandwagons

becuz bandwagon cars take a lot less effort to use and has far less flaws then non bandwagon cars

i use 640/HG on fuku, i make sure i take inner corner for stabbing my opponents

also the car is long which makes it much easier for me to defend myself as i have 640/HG

this wont work with cars like the evo9 or r32 (i know, try it once and even catch up), some times u have think outside the box when u play lol

Just a fun post, but as of today, it has officially been 10 years to the day since I was the first person to reach SSS in an SVX, way back in MT2 (this image's original filename contains the date in it, which is the only way I know lmao). Kind of crazy to think how long I've been playing this at this point. The Wangan Highway will forever be a part of my heart.
