whatever rocks youboat actually.. i found your setting a little too slidy for me..

i'm using aero A, Aero hood (no carbon), Yoko RG II, 3d wing, aero mirrors..

and omg it runs like an evo ohmy.gif

Yeah I guess that would be different if you're not used to it. Its great for Hakone also which I managed to squeeze a 2'35" but i dunno. I kinda like it to have the choice of sliding when I need to while being flexible about sticking to the pavement, though i'm pretty sure you'll agree that it depends on your habits too.

@ Shadow

I was considering Aero A for a long time, but still thought that it looked too sport compact like so I kept the stock aero. I changed out my mirrors and added glows for distraction biggrin.gif Managed to get a 3'52" Osaka and did a 2'35"1xx on Hakone. Too bad that it sucks on Wangan, even with a 4"03".

Well I do notice a speed lag around 2nd and 3rd gear. Once I hit 4th for several seconds, I tend to somehow slowly gain on people. I think its mainly boost, especially during ghost battles and or people's erratic driving style. Other than that, I don't mind the slow take off, it gives me time to think up a strategy.

Well I ran a 2'34" on Hakone, but the worse thing was pulling a 2'33"5xx with a S30. I wish it had some of the oversteer that the S30 has but I guess I'll have to improvise to shave off those extra milliseconds.

It's quite hard to catch up when you felled behind for about +/- 200m in Yokohane if you're against good Yokohane players...

But then, it can do wonders in Osaka... Love how it corners gracefully even though you screwed up... =P

Yeah, its pretty nice and holds its own on Osaka since most people drive Evo 8s and Evo 9s. Though I kinda like the simplicity of the 5-speed tranny even though it loses out in acceleration versus the GDB-C/F and Evos. At least it isn't as bad as the R2 as far as stability, just more in terms of a rock as far as making it slide around a tight s-turn or hairpin.

Hey guys..

Could u give me a run down of the GC8?

Like, whats good and bad about it..

One thing iv noticed, the GC8 has horrible acell during the 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear, but its 4th gear is simply awesome...

And i think my car tends to slide around a buttload, but i think thats just poor drivers skill on my part..

Off the top of my head i got:
Aero Set C
2nd last enkie rims
the spoiler obtained after Aero set C
and the aero mirrors?

Im sorry if im not helpful enough, but yeah, im still new to this lol

It's a 5 gear car, you're probably shifting way too early from 2nd gear to 3rd gear

Ideally your shift from 2nd to 3rd should be between 190km/hr to 195km/hr.

This applies for any 5 gear car.

If you shift like that, you should be able to hold up with other 6 gear cars.

More or less, he summed it up about right, though I shift either slightly earlier or later depending on the person. Other than that, it should handle at least as well as the Evo 8 and Evo 9. I only say that since its my main car.

As far as the aero kits go, I still use my stock STi aero. Not that there's a problem with any of the aero packages, its more of personal preference and individuality. The behavior though is balanced out though if I'm not mistaken, Aero C is the heaviest out of the three, though there is a separate thread for the aero kits including pictures of how they look.
