reshuttling yourself gives you 1.5x DU lvl and maxi g at the same time (plus you'll be shuttling yourself on the same day so extra Gs) so definitely reshuttles are faster. however doing JC allows you to get custom plates and sticker, so i guess that's the only reason people do JC to raise their DU lvl at the same time.

if you don't care about rank i'd skip japan challenge, risky (sorta) as mentioned some ghosts can have insane boost (like one i played, 250m behind and they caught up in under 1km).

plus (imo) those stickers are sorta ugly. some of the numberplate things are OK.

I only liked the Illumination 2 Number Plate Frame from the original 15. Haven't taken a look at the new ones introduced in 5DX.

Don't really like the JC stickers.

Neither, FD is superior. RX-8 is the best battle car of the 3.

I mean are the other tachometer designs only in Japan? I know the Namco & Onion ones are from 3DX+ & earlier.

most likely RX-8 (SE3P) better in battles and no slouch TA....

it should appear during your second story loop (i think it was during the monster supra / r200 club arc) but correct me if i'm wrong
edit: btw does anyone know how to get daily titles? might considering contributing to the daily titles thread since i play quite frequently.

Press the view change button on the car data screen 9 times, that's 1 loop for one title. Repeat up to 6 times for other titles.

The titles are different for odd and even-numbered years.

The titles of the 2nd to 6th completed data page loops are the same as WMMT4's so far. Only the first loop is a new one. You can find the WMMT4 titles on SOARS blogpage. Here's the odd year february one: http://soarsmedia.blogspot.sg/2014/06/4-SS301.html

Edit: Just to make it clear, what I meant is what used to be the 1st loop daily title in WMMT4 is now the 2nd loop daily title in 5DX & same with the rest. Let's take today's as an example. Back in 4 it was like this:
1st - Night Tuna
2nd - P.O.D
3rd - Wangan Shinsengumi
4th - Bonito Flakes
5th - I Like Tuna

Now in 5DX, it's like this:
1st - *New Title*
2nd - Night Tuna
3rd - P.O.D
4th - Wangan Shinsengumi
5th - Bonito Flakes
6th - I Like Tuna

yes, we're well aware of how it works in 5dx, wme has kept a list of daily titles since before soars started, and titles from even before that....

no battle star (or -1 star if your rank/star count is high enough)/Black - 2nd place in a 1v1/last place in a 3-way or a 4-way

Is there any delay between being taken over and the boost kicking in?

Watching a lot of vids, people seem to take over with speeds way higher than the line should allow VS me where I'm on the same pace even when taking the same line as my opponent.

It's a varied form of a rubber band. Lead is slower, rear is faster. Game does now show the speed of boost slowing or speeding up like let's say Initial D games. Daytona USA has a similar boost mechanic I believe. Stock GUEST car battles have the strongest example of the boost.

WMMT devs can give the exact detail on how boost priority works... and so far I know the last place will be given the highest priority boost (not including their original acceleration and boost logic slapped to each car into their program)

at given time (rather few seconds to milliseconds) when you outrun a higher rank or outrunned to become 1st you will lose your boost priorityand it will switch to the current ranking of the race

stock GUEST battles will show you how their boost logic works... the variance to this is how some cars other than Bandwagons get more advantage over the other

If I have data from MT5, will I be able to transfer directly to 5DX+ once it rolls out or am I locked out?

upon googling NBGI made a new campaign about enticing new and old players to WMMT

upon login to that date will give you:
1X Full Tune car ticket (probably same system to Discards)
5X Penalty Opponent tickets (penalty match ensues when you use that ticket)

copy cards will be given to new players up to 5 games and after that will change to 600hp discard car
