QUOTE (Nico J @ April 22 2008, 11:51 AM) | haha the funniest thing that happened.... at my last credits, trying to TA @ yokohane upwards.... at the right - wide corner @ Cp 1 i realize there is something wrong.... OMG !!! there's 2 Hi Ace did i order the traffic |
You held the View button. It's fun for when TA is boring. I do it for the Tokyo Metro because it's so chaotic at higher levels!
QUOTE (Fredrick2003 @ Oct 5 2007, 04:03 PM) | If you are ever challenged by someone more powerful, choose Hakone, there is a higher chance of skill overcoming raw power there . |
True. I took Hakone while challenging a Ghost and dusted it on Inbound by 2500+ km; against players, it's possible (not everytime, but enough) to lose them by 400km on average - the really good players will tail me to the finish by 50km or less; the damned good ones will smoke me by 100, especially with boost off. Funny thing, I discovered that I can take any Metro course at 810, but Hakone at 740 - no higher, no lower. I had to lower to 600Hp when I got challenged by 2 players with stock cars - I think their Boost made my car slow; let's just say I was wringing my hands and saying "no 600" - it felt disturbing, and I was hitting stuff left-n-right because my low speed meant little (if any) drifting. Oh, back on track - funniest things that happened to me: - Hakone: recently discovered I cannot drive 600HP - especially on Hakone, especially with stock racers who have Boost on. My car was so slow it felt disturbing, and the slow speed meant I had little (if any) drifting. I was wringing my hands afterward. *shudders*
- Metro: I've seen cars disappear when you fall behind and try to catch up to your opponent. I saw a van and two R2s make the turn on first left Yokohane-D (Shibaura); followed them to find no traffic - pretty freaky, especially if you're expecting traffic. Speaking of disappearing traffic, how about appearing traffic? 2 cars came outta the inside wall on Yokohane-U (the last curve on the upramp to Wangan) - either R2 or HiAce, (thankfully stocky-short - no trucks!).
- Yokohane-D (bridge): Tried to squeeze my Legacy between a truck and the wall - and failed. Re-raced it with my GDB-F and passed it, only to have it catch me near the upramp onto the C1/NBL - it powered me halfway through the wall; because I my WRX had purple UG, the screen flashed pink/purple, getting "mucho grande" (lotsa big) attention.
- Yokohane-D (stretch): Two runs into the 2nd-from-right stall at the tollbooths. Twice I raced my Evo9 against my other ghost; we both went through at the same time. The first time ejected me backward/above the station's roof; the second shot me through the walls two stalls to the left and deposited me outside the stall's entrace. Both left me dead in the water (no speed), forcing me to regain ground from scratch.
- YES-NO Moments: everyone's run into those times when you make the *perfect* turn only to have a car slam you into the wall and ruin it. For me, that happens to be the red/yellow turns - the blue ones are just "Christie" (by Stephen King - destroyed car returns brand-spankin'-new for vengeance) because it's so easy yet so easily ruined.

traffic occurs up to 300m behind the leading car. If you're behind that, no traffic.
traffic that appears outta nowhere tends to be at the points where theres a "select course" in a battle.

Ok, I completely forgot to mention this.
Was playing on my own at TZ G4, when 3 people without cards (an adult male, an adult female, and a young boy) decided to play 3-way VS battle. Now if I was a real jerk I would have fished them. But I played nice guy and joined the battle with a GUEST car - but not just any car, a Corolla. If you guys saw the VS roster before the race it looked funny - the 3 people above had 280HP cars (the boy had a Supra, the adults had an Evo and a R34, can't remember who had who), while mine (Corolla) was 120HP. So most bystanders would think my car would have been majorly owned by having less than half the HP of any of the other cars, especially considering the course selected was Wangan. Instead, during the race I mostly kept the lead (being the one with experience, plus it was boost on) while the two adults were bumbling around, but at least the kid (who had the Supra) put up a fight and tried ramming the hell out of me. At the end, I won the race, with everyone else in disbelief.

That was a waste... should have a car with low HP standing by to play with them... do 10 levels of handling on it or something, and no HP. lol

QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ Today at 6:10 AM) | Nah, that would be fishing. Besides I don't have any partially tuned cars (once I start tuning a car I finish it before doing any VS battle, and with FT'd cars I only do VS battles with the best out there ). |
and beating noobs isnt fishing? xD

QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ Today at 6:17 AM) | With a car that's "weaker" than theirs? Nah. Besides, isn't fishing about getting free stars? (with a GUEST car and no MT3 card, no stars are kept). And it was a close fight after all. |
with boost, and experience... u can win with the 64hp R2.. xD
just dont crash... =P
hehee
but would have been fun. especially if someone came up to challenge you after.. then u can pull out your real card to fish a fisher =D

QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ Today at 7:25 AM) | Heheh I would have liked to use the R2, but I didn't memorize the code unfortunately (I only know the code for the Corolla).
Of course crashing would have ruined things, and besides like I said the kid (with the Supra) was trying to ram me. |
RAM FEST! fun days... teach them the true meaning of ram!
