Story Mode against the Blackbird, and two other cars in the first 20 stages on the Wangan Stretch from C1/NBL. Might've been 19.
Blackbird came up on my left, another AI boxed me in on the right. Akio boxed me in from the front. I tried to shake Blackbird by squaring him into an upcoming HiAce - something virtually impossible to do since the AI is resistant to such techniques, and even more so at later loops. Anyways, Blackbird miraculously gets shoved into the back of a HiAce; there's a glitch to this however - Blackbird looked like it cleared the van by 1m to the side before apparently clipping the right rear corner. I could swear Blackbird got booted backwards, nose lifting back like it did a wheelie or something!
Also, I confirmed that thing I mentioned where one of the AI cars on Stage 40 chucked a HiAce into me 2m from the finish line. It's Kuroki, and he'll ditch 2m from the finish line. Usually, it's toward the right side, but that one time with my FC3S, he somehow chucked a HiAce all the way across all lanes to the left!
I thought he was like a heat-seeking missile when he crashes, so I tested this out 2 times and it's conclusively to the right.

yeah... it was AUTA's race... i tagged in.... was catching up... then... clipped a van. T-T watching is tag can be quite funny imo... xD opponents go wuh? nice distraction... whats funny... mostly involves pillars now.... two funny incidents 1) Opponent 1 crashes into a pillar, coming to a dead stop. Opponent 2 crashes into opponent 1, just as opponent 1 was beginning to move again, bringing both to a dead stop. 2) Opponent 1 crashes into the first pillar on c1... curses... gets moving... then crashes right into the following pillar xD This post has been edited by Dare on Jul 5 2008, 05:00 PM

I'm calling this segment the Tollway of Death. Just like the nasty divider in C1, the Tollways in Wangan and Yokohane can be a real death trap for the unfortunate. One 4-way boost-on race in Yokohane Downward I was in. I used my FC, and battled against a Supra RZ, a S30Z, and a R32. Approaching the tollway we were all bunched up together with me practically boxed in the middle (slam-on obviously). By the time we hit the tollgate, everyone got stuck, but I made it through without a scratch! (I only realized it when I saw all the 3 opponent distance indicators turn blue and start increasing in value like crazy, all the way to 300+ in seconds) Aside from fending off the 2nd placer (the R32, who managed to catch up thanks to boost), I cruised to the finish. What made it even funnier was that the 3rd placer (S30) and the 4th (Supra) both lost stars because they had over 2000 each. This post has been edited by Sailor Enlil on Jul 21 2008, 07:44 AM

That's what I've been talking about for months-on-end. And I usually end up floating outside, save for the one instance where I got stuck inside and drove through the wall partition to 'unstuck' myself.
23Jul08: Someone challenged me just as I finished a Story Mode chapter; I thought the coding would block any challenge attempts while the game was recording your data. So I got my data recorded AND a battle match - sorta like a free game!

This didn't happen to me, but I found it hilarious.
This guy was playing Story on MT3 without a card. He was playing with an RX-8, and got up to stage 4 (vs Devil Z on Hakone). I managed to see him run the three previous story modes. In that time I managed to see the following things happen:
-He never thought to run the shoulder on the Yokohama bay bridge (with the fireworks on your left), though if you're new to the game, that's sort of understandable. -He never thought to minimise his steering movements when dodging danmaku traffic. -Instead of starting the battle in 2nd gear, he'd always start in 6th -He would never shift down if he tapped a wall -In fact, he would never shift down, unless I told him to (?) -When I told him to put the gear in 2 at the start of a battle, he' did it, then shifted to 3, then to 6 (impatience?) -On Hakone, when taking one of the hairpins, I told him to shift down to 4th. he shifted to 5, then to 2 then to 6, then to 4, but didn't turn the wheel (?) --After that, I told him to go to 3rd because he lost so much speed. He did it, but still forgot to turn the wheel, and slammed the wall -He still won the story battle on Hakone btw. Just shows how slow the AI is on mountains in this game. -I asked him had he ever driven a car before, and he got pissy at me, saying he rides a Moped, and that's enough for him. -I began to wonder if the above statement was safer for the general public.

some people simply just dont understand the game as well as us. maybe they dont know the difference between real life and virtual. still, starting in 6th gear? thats just plain weird/stupid.
lol today... some kids raced me thinking easy stars when i was using my rx8. tried to go nbl so they had a chance but they insisted on osaka... completely blown away 500m boost on. XD

this guy did a hakone story mode, he had his car at max hp, 810 DG (??), and was just wall raping every corner atleast 3 times per corner and yet beat the AI by 70 odd meters, also shifted like he was trying to smash the shifter into gear as if it were some 80 year old rusted transmission.
battled the local ANGEL r32 dupe, cause his friends told him to and that it'd be easy stars, they saw i only had 130 odd stars on my gc8 with 10k+ millage and decided he was better just cause his card had 600+, we select a course and i think it's yokohane and wasn't paying attention so i went 820, it turned out to be osaka and he was at 760, it started and after the first 2km i was ahead by 100m+ and loling, i thourght i was screwed but yay, i ended up winning only by 17 or something, boost on

today i saw a bunch of girls using an ANGEL r32 dupe as well. she was too scared to battle me despite a puny amount of 15 stars?... she then proceeded to race a LEVEL 1 GHOST on osaka and almost lost. 13 metre win...

Moss: I'm guessing it's gecause both responses are stupid?
Geo: There's limits to how far the 'I don't understand the game' excuse can go. He broke all of them. The thing that really got me was on Hakone, when on that red corner I told him to shift down to 4th, which he did, but didn't turn the wheel so that he was heading straight for greenery. For any sort of corner, you need to turn the wheel, even a child can understand that. It doesn't matter what else you do before, during and after it, you still need to turn the fscking wheel at one point or another.
