last time i saw people like that they were too sneaky and i only got to beat 'em once

This one time, I was racing one of my cards with 540hp against a guy's 700hp card.
I don't remember what course it was since it was a few months ago. :\
BUT, boost was on, so I was able to kinda keep up since he kept hitting the walls a lot...but he passed me right near the end. Prepared for defeat, I just kept going...
Only to cruise by him less than 1km before the finish after he hit a divider.
Happiest win of my short WMMT career.

Unfortunately, that nearly happened to me two weeks ago - after practicing with MT, forgot to check my transmission and nearly used the shifter during Auto before regaining control; I ended up hitting the wall. The round before that with another car of mine, I had the reverse problem. Having the swing-shift with that problem was just major suckage.

But anyways, folks who knowingly *use* the shifter while in Auto are just plain idiots. I'll dismiss it if the player's a newbie.

dares story...lol... shit like that happens here when it comes to wmmt3, since 99% of the kids that play are middle school/high school kids that think they are hella gangsta because they sag, and wear jordans(even though they look weak as hell) and when it comes to cars they only know HONDA and fast n furious lol. one day i was waiting for friends at the arcade, then some kid playing ID4 while i was playin wmmt3 was like shit that guy sucks (i retired cuz i messed up, and they thought i crashed), who the hell uses an r34? after i got done TAin, i took out my FT R34 for ID4 and challenged the kid (who was driving a EK9 lol) i challenged him on tsukuba and straight up KILLED him. then his friend used a DC2, same results lol, and his friends were like wtf happened? hey not fair our cars are not even FT. i just said sarcastically good race. then i asked if they wanna race in wmmt3, they ignored me and left

That's karma - straighten them out with your "sucky" skills; maybe they can tell their friends the great story of how they challenged a "sucky" guy - and got pwned BADLY. , "good race" was more of a "fair harvest" (or maybe "slaughter").

its good sportsmanship, lol even if they did bad i say good race, but against these kids...i said it with sarcasm cuz thats what cocky ppl get. now i go down there once in a while and COMPLETELY own their ID4 records so bad they cant even get close. ..fear me and my "sucky" r34. they USE to play wmmt3, now whenever im there, they just stick to ID4. cuz ID4 they know the game even though they get smoked hella bad, but if they had the balls to ever try wmmt3, itll be worse than losing on ID4 (i killed both of them by OVER 1000M on tuskuba) lol. i just LOVE doing this to cocky noobs.

if only they had a reverse option in MT4 XD

i went in reverse once, it was gay, somehow i spun out on hakone and came to a complete stop making me lose the battle

- When I was tuning up my E9.....
At some stage between 50~60......I was trying to pass thru the C1-divider with a CPU side-by -side....Then the CPU pushed me towards the divider w00t.....
I hit it and fell behind by 400m......
and u know what??? I passed him and still able to beat the stage....xD

Must be a 20+ km race or u're just getting hit very early during that stage...XD

nah i've hit a truck on wangan line at the very last 2km's and i was still able to beat the cpu

Yea true...I noticed that besides the stupidly easy difficulty...
The cpu even slow down for you at the last 1 km or so...

People that are still totally new to the game will find it challenging actually...
I think that's why it's THAT easy...
But if you noticed the difficulty on the 2nd loop is totally different from the 1st loop...
Of cuz it's still quite easy for experienced players but it certainly is harder...

- I crashed towards a truck and the last 200m/300m on straight.
Before I crashed, the CPU was like 100m behind.
After I crashed, I was like "No!!!!". But luckily I won by 0m.....phew.....-.-

- At stage 20-something, I almost lost to Gatchan......(lol?)
You know, he kept talking sh!+ and the dialogs just blocked almost 75% of your vison......-.-

once i was racing a level 10 on C1, and during the last 150 metres, he bloody pushed me into a divider.

I had some kid twice as young who was fancinated in my performance on 10 Outrun...

...on Wangan.

You know, the easiest Lvl. 1 through 10 10 Outrun in the whole game.

My #1 rule against AI cars (for Story/Outrun): if they're blocking the lane you wanna push through, fake 'em out - move to the next 'useless' lane over so they'll move to block you, then juke back into the now-vacated lane and "go turbo"! Even 31 Outrun's a cinch.

Particularly on the stages where Harada's Z31 temporarily outruns Hiramoto's R, I weave across all lanes and between traffic for the lucky chance he'll be stopped by a line of traffic - the AI will not weave between traffic without sufficient clearance to the next vehicle (something like 1km or so). They also won't follow you into the shoulder lanes or towards another vehicle. Alll this is fully applicable with a large delay during 1st Loop and 10 Outrun; during later loops, the lag is decreased, narrowing your window to fake-n-overtake.

Hehe if 2nd loop is different, 3rd loop gets really tricky, especially the later stages. Did that with my Supra, almost had a few losses with last minute wins (especially in the Legendary FC arc), but Stage 80 was where I was KILLED - the last corner before the finish, there was a TRUCK and a COROLLA side by side at the apex of the corner, thus I ran into the truck's back, and Akio and Makoto passed me a split second later and I lost quite immediately Good thing my Supra already finished unshaded from the first loop of Story Mode (once finished unshaded it's permanently unshaded , it even shows on the card).

Did that too when it happened to me (AI car suddenly surging forward), except this one instance where it was Akio who suddenly got a boost and went super fast - instead of avoiding him, I got IN FRONT of him, and he gave me a boost - as a result my car went up to 360kph!!!

sailor enlil: wait..so if you transfer a FT car, which i did. then you do 1 loop(80 stages) of story mode in wmmt3, you get stay unshaded no matter what? sorry for the noob question, i havent finished all 80 stages yet because too busy ad our local arcade only has wmmt2 and wmmt3 is like in the outskirts of seattle..

Yep that's the case. I looked at my card and the markers/objects (in my case, stars) in the boxes for the stages of story mode are outlined (unshaded) instead of solid (shaded), even after I got that loss.

i heard they allow 2 loses per loop though?true?not true? if thats the case i better start doin story mode instead of just TAin with official machine and ghost lol

loose 1 time = shaded

finish unshaded once or transfer an unshaded car = permanently unshaded

thanks dare, i havent played wmmt3 story mode thats why. lol i always just do ghost and TA. just wanted to know for sure before tuning my evo 5/9. thanks again.

just playing alone when to guests vs each other then leave without playing their free play so this guy comes up with his mates and finishes stage 1, while playing he says, "this course is gay, all it is is straights". it's wangan, wth.
then this girl starts playing with a r32 ANGEL dupe and goes to hakone, then until she leaves, she doesn't stop complaining about how wmmt3 is gay because you can't drift in it..
