haha most used swear word for cantonese ppl...DIU! me and my friends always go DIU, or diu lei lo mo all the time when we TA/battle haha, and my other friends are like damn you guys swear a lot when you go to arcades, and were like what? its funny we say diu so much, we dont even know we say it sometimes

lol i know everyone swears but its just more funny coz they all react the same way

I used to wonder that too... but the Z is just there to add emphasis to the statement. Like 'luls' vs. 'lulz' Which sounds more exciting??

Nah, Zomg is used as a sarcastic OMG, because people would hit the Z when they were going to the spacebar or something, like pwn and own.

My comments on the page for two different postings (one comment, one filler) kept getting misplaced.

Summarized: I actually ran into this three at the same tollbooth - the first I got shot only one stall over; the second ejected me higher than the roof and backward; the third just ejected me backward. Dunno what gives...

IMO, not quite as funny as someone hitting a traffic vehicle, then having it follow its "track" (line in the same lane) at faster-than-normal speeds (like a tape on fast-forward). It's actually screwed me up since the lane's open - round the corner, there's Mr. Traffic at normal speeds, through-lane denied!

now that glitch is funny. lol. that never happened to me in wmmt3 but it did happen in tokyo xtreme racer zero/3 lol

In ghost mode, yokohane upward....when u get to the place that the road splits (left to C1 OB, right to C1 IB).....Theres aways a van/truck going sideways, keep switching lanes....-.-

i hate it when traffic keep changing lanes. especially if ur behind them and you see them ahead of you moving left and right.

at that point, usually for me its a taxi switching from right to mid, and van from mid to right

There's a very high chance that it's recorded from the run against the player you obtained that course from or it occurs naturally. For example, say if you raced against "AlPhA"" on C1-NBL (either can combo into the other). When you get to this fork, you're bound to have traffic in the far right lane. Under natural occurences, they'll be slowly shifting lanes because the road merges; under influence from a player's previous run, the Ghost traffic may be shoved violently out of the way - believe it, I got whacked by a HiAce thrown sideways by the player's Ghost.

yea, i rarely have traffic swirving around during battle. it happens more in ghost for me.

Here's a problem-solver. When you round that curve, most everyone will take the rightmost booths with the following estimations:

• 1st (farthest to right): 80% or more
• 2nd: 50-50
• 3rd:30%

The stalls farther to the left obviously have smaller usage due to higher chance of line disruption; I recommend avoiding the first stall and opting for the 2nd- or 3rd-from-right (preferrably 2nd when possible to maintain your line).

When I Auto Yokohane-D and approach the booth, I slide enough that I fishtail halfway (or sometimes fully) into the first lane, then right myself into either the 2nd or 3rd stalls; the trick is doing it early and orienting properly - otherwise you'll either broadside or slide into the booth's pillars. I'm still practicing with Manual, so I can't give MT pointers on doing this.

i absolutely hate the poll booths when im battling, and me and my opponent are ramming each others cars to get to it first, even though i use the bnr34 as my one of my main cars and its good for ramming, i still dont like ramming, i guess its the fear that you might smack into the poll, i had a few races where during the race my opponent and i were fighting to get thru first and both of us got stuck . EDD!E would know, i raced him this one time and he rammed back my r34 i was like did that just happen!? racing eddie, r34 vs r34 is even harder..lol

Another reason to avoid the first stall: upon exiting, you may be "closeted" by traffic merging into two lanes. The first stall (and farthest-right lane) is most prone to this; it's not bad if the traffic is R2s (very unlikely) or HiAces (very likely), but you got problems if it's ToyoAces (very odd)!

even with my r34 which is a fatass i can squeeze between the walls and traffic including hiaces very easily without hittin the wall, its even easier in evos/sti. its not hard at all. you just have to know when to turn and control ur car right.

This is more of a general-awareness pointer. The more claustrophobic and big-vehicle players among us may panic in that situation; for the record, I'm not laughing when i say this.

eh, doesnt matter, i know how to "toss" or move traffic out of the way with heavy cars like the r34. but its just that with evo/stis i dont have to do that. ill just squeeze right thru them and the wall

talking bout tollbooths and dividers...

i remember when i first started back MT2, i raced a mate and we got to the divider under the bridge in C1...my mate was leading and he cleared the first set of divider but slammed straight into the 2nd set...i laughed at him and i was bout 50-100m behind..
but then when i got there..i bounced off his car and slammed into the 2nd divider too

and all i said was.....GG lol

Pretty interesting glitch while running ghost mode for a top time. The ghost came into my lane (far right) and pushed me into the wall, it kept pushing and I literally went INTO the wall, the game then "re-spawned" me 10m ahead a full speed where I kept the 10m til the finish and took the crown.

^ damn that'd be funny to watch happen while battling your ghost

Its not funny when u see ghost car pushing u towards divider/tollbooth
while u are driving straight, doing nothing....-.-

Yea part of his car is gonna be like sticking between the wall....

@Roflmao: Same set in MT3 - I was gonna hit the second set on Stage 19; the game glitches, and saves me by 'porting me fully into the left lane! Nearly gave me a heart attack...!

@ZNA03: Visually, that's almost nothing compared to a run against my other Ghost - it pushed me into the wall while I had the purple neons equippd; my screen went all psychedelic (PINK FLASH!), and my friends were all "WTF wazzat?"!

haha eddie, that happens all the time. i was doing wangan top ghost when i had the crown, my ghost was pushing me like hell.
