Knowing that MT5 is out, its time to get started with the Mercedes thread. I'm making the BMW thread soon.

Even if this is early, I think it should be done now.

I haven't tried the Mercs yet, I only played MT5 once, and I used the M1. I'll see what I can do on Saturday though.

that is the R172 SLK Class though...but if BN intend to introduce the Maxi Shop in a later stage.....the same case for the BMW E92 M3.....

that could be changed...so keep your hope......

(to be logical in some way, it is quite stupid if they do introduce DU for these cars lol...)

BN treated this as a way of upgrading the software for MT4 (he Rev 1.10.02 to 1.16.?? for MT5 now)...so the 'real' MT5 may arrive soon....I am still waiting for some other new models in MT5 Japan too....

quite heavy, that could be said as, stable.....

yet 830-ed190E is actually quite fun.....I tried mine in the location test in a NBL TA

still need time to get used to the 'real' deal, but to be honest, I am nominating the M3 CSL as a better battle car

With respects to the developers, even Genki wasn't given authorization to dress up the 190E Benz; and given the 190E Evo II Benz is already a dressed up 190E, That may be the justified explanation as to why it doesn't have Dress up parts - there aren't that many body kits nor aero kits to use. The touring car versions of teh 80's / 90's share the same body, no different from the road version.

I know you guys might say, "at least give us some rim changes, come on!" But I don't think that'll be enough, given it's a historic Benz and all.

The SLS AMG is still fairly new and other than its FIA counterpart, there are no other kits / aero sets known for it. Not sure with Brabus if they have extended kits for the SLS, just probably some front bumper carbon air dam covers, treated like the Evos Aero Bs.

And as much as possible, I think they are trying to avoid the Gemballa treatment - it's either exclusive with less parts or no DU parts at all which would affect the look + credibility of the manufacturer.

Speaking of the SLS AMG... the acceleration though is something - it's like it wants more and with 7 speed, it felt as if 300km/h @ 600hp is not enough. The tachometer just kept rising beyond the 300 km/h speed limit.

Quite drifty / understeery though during gas-on but on gas off, it grips the inside perfectly, to my surprise. Braking's tad weak tbh.

Naw, Mercedes will happily give away their licenses and cars to be excessively customized to any game developer. They allowed EA to customize their models for the past 9 years without any complaint, as well as Rockstar games. Hell in MC3 the CLK GTR can be fitted with neon lights and vinyls.

Lack of aero parts has never stopped Namco. The 110s and 2000GT have no aero parts at all made for them, but Namco happily made 6 aero sets for them.

EA/MC3 =/= Namco + Genki/GRP.

EA had their own custom aero kit sets based on their theme (underground, MW, Carbon), Namco would go authentic and based it off real tunes and parts - frankly, there's nothing to the 190E. Google it. The only ones you get are either 190E or 190E Evo II. Neon lights + vinyls alone won't count for 103 DU parts. I doubt MB could have authentic aero kits that would match 7 + 3 wings + 5 hoods without consulting competitors such as EA.

Canrads? Lips? Splitters? Wider fenders? AMG aero?

The 190E is not an unpopular car. As I have mentioned AMG has made a subtle body kit, Namco could include it if players wanted a more subtle aero. Hell they could even include the stock 190 body if players wanted a sleeper look.

scratch about the praise of the SLS AMG's performance... it has an awkward requirement to utilize its prowess: you need to keep it on the higher revs to make sure it performs well; its weak on the low RPM level, much like the AE86 and due to its weight and size, it slows down a lot. On the plus side, it holds its turning radius well and doesn't veer off unlike most heavy supercars like the 'vette.

And on the 2nd part that caught my attention... trying it on NBL-CW @ 830hp seems that lit the fire on what I'm gonna FT'd first

On my pre-judgement assessment on W201 seems like Toyota's Aristo and hopefully it might reach at 350 top speed

and among those 4 appeared back in the location test time.....the E46 CSL had been picked up the most.....also the SLS and M1....

I started my 190E and played my 830 NBL TA there....the 830-ed 190E is surprising easy to handle...not really remembered the max speed I produced, probably over 347-ish (poor skills of course)...might have been a click to the 349/50 side if run perfectly....your judgment is correct...

btw, how will you fare on these benz in terms of agility and.....Mount Taikan...have you tried this course yet....need some words of wisdom to it too smile.gif

IMO I think the Mercys can be customised in the future when the new DU parts arrive. If it was limited, then why doesn't the SLS use Step Up tuning similar to the GT-R?

Potential kits: Black Series kit, GT3 kit, sort of like we've discussed in the MT5 thread.

Because the actual HP of each GT-R is different and that is reflected in the game

Also licensing with Nissan, they basically don't want anyone thinking they can simply upgrade their 'perfect' car
