Hey folks, seems like a lot of WMMT fans around here so just wanted to drop by and let you know that WMMT5 is now playable on your own PC!

You can run through story mode and can even link up machines on a LAN for multiplayer for 2-4 players.

Of course you must locate the game files yourself, but once you do, all you need is the TeknoParrot emulator to run the game. This program emulates arcade hardware/communication to make these games run on home PCs.

is there any save files or are you driving a stock car the whole game (unless you play the whole story loop in one sitting) ?

but where's the fun in playing by yourself at home....

however would be fun to see more angry german kids smashing their PCs over salty stuff ....

Lan play isn't that bad. Just set up hamachi and you can have fun with friends though... I hope there will be card emulation soon ™

I know that Initial d 6 exists, and I have the files, but I don't have a wheel so (shrugs).


Looking forward to progress

This of course gonna be my fitness equipment for the Yellow meter (especially during Eiji and Kijima's arcs which almost made me lose the winning streak) before going out to the Arcades when Reaver finally had the Banapassport support, I will try my best to play Story Mode 4 times to get the Wangan Midnight R OST and a Carbon.

Hey all, just wanted to come back and update on some incredible progress being made. Lots of features have been added to latest TeknoParrot versions for WMMT5.

Two biggest and best new features are working Force Feedback (FFB) and working saves for your story progress/car upgrades!

And although not officially a part of TeknoParrot, there is a great community translation of the story mode. You can head to TeknoGods Discord for further help, etc.

i think playing this will make you get sick of maxi tune faster.

game doesn't start, it won't go pass connecting to terminal waiting screen, am I missing something?

are you booting it in test mode? also make sure you've got your key binds set properly and none of them are putting you in test mode since there is a programmable test-mode key.

that's why Namco never bother to port any WMMT games to console in the first place, I guess? they know we'll get sick of it quickly when we play it at home.

About time we had the option to play on PC. Are there any problems with the port so far?

its not a port its an emulator. there's no banapass type support (obviously?) and you can't manage multiple cars like you would normally with a banapass. though you can copy save files to make a car full tune, dressup/custom colours are sorta achievable through hex editing the saves though that too is a bit fiddly (i tried myself and it crashed the game when i went to use the car)

Hello guys, I'm trying to play on LAN with a friends through LogMeIn Hamachi on Teknoparrot 1.51 Hotfix 2, but we can't figure out how to set the network. If someone could help us it will be awesome !!!

try the WMMT Emulation discord

The newest Teknoparrot version runs the game quite well, and it saves cars (without Banapass). Unfortunately I can't figure out how to unlock the secret cars because there's no button map for neutral gear.

I'll try it out; I haven't been going to the arcade lately due to it being 45 minutes away and I'd rather do other stuff rather than deal with any heavy traffic to and from the mall it's in.

Hello - I have the game downloaded on my PC. It loads fine and it's playable, but the game seems to be sped up. Is there a setting I've missed? I'd like it normal speed, or at least a way to slow everything down

It's cool I've figured it out for those who may have the same problem: set your resolution to 1920x1080p and run the game with that setting. That, or set the resolution to lower than your monitor. My monitor is 1440p and 1080p setting seems to have put it to normal speed

Kinda wonder if they'll ever try getting Online working, would be pretty interesting to see anyone on the forums doing multiplayer!

Since some time has passed and the forums have been "open" since last spring, I'm wanting to make a quick update by saying WMMT3/DX+ and WMMT6/R are now playable on Teknoparrot.

I haven't bothered playing MT6, since I've been playing 5 again, which is also causing me to go half-assed on getting YACardEmu to work, so that I can start playing MT3, but they're available, now. Granted, Teknoparrot doesn't provide the ROMs, so you'll have to search for them.
