z33 mate. dressup lvl 60 i think maybe? somewhere like that. i got a s30 somewhere in my drawer. its like 400hp == cos i cbf work on it.

Yes, I live in brisbane, and no I havnt raced jimmy. I would be too scared. Nah we play in different arcades. And I heard he doesnt play much anymore anyways.

I may go look for him once I have fully done up my s30z with 820HP.

Um so.... do I just go into select by level and pick lvl 10. To vs. lvl 10 computers?

Do I really have to vs. lvl 10 computers? I can vs. the lvl 1 up from me and still get the same rate as vsin a lvl 10. It says that.....




So what do you guys think? Have any of you tried it when you were 600HP and vsin a lvl 10 ghost? Does it giv u one whole tunin bar when u win? Cos it says only 1.5. Which means I am at 3 now for a tune. So if i do 2 races against cars higher than me (1.5 each). Then it will b faster by abit.

im never happy

you can race whatever, but lvl10 ghosts are basically cheap and easy wins. a 600hp could beat them easily. not much for me to do so i stick to lvl10 and maybe move up to top ghosts soon. gotta take the yoko crown

lol tat is wierd..... What do you mean cheap and easy wins...? Everyone says that! Is it really that easy! To hav a 600HP vs a 820HP on C1 and 600HP being the dominant one? I guess we have to find the one with a person doin a stupid run?

lol i dunno about your arcade, but the one i go to, hsa just comp. ghosts. so they REALLY suck. you can crash into a truck and stop completely and still pull of a decent win.

wow lucky you? Over here the ghosts are pretty decent. How can they have just comp ghosts? The comp ghosts are levels right? LOL I am getting confused. I will just vs a 700HP car tomorrow. I hav to tune mine to 660HP first. LOL 660HP is the last one before you move onto 700HP cars.

its cos no one can be bothered to do 300 wins at my arcade, so we're stuck with plain, simple lvl10 ghosts here. not really a challenge but im still not satisfied with my setup yet!

lol. People here have gotten 300 wins. I think.... anyways lol. I dunno. I will hav a check tomorrow morning. Im goin 2 "uni" early so I can get some wmmt3 done before I go to it. Im goin 2 try to unlock at least 1 unlock.... I dun hav much time but you know.

If you're trying to goad people into challenging your ghosts so you can revenge... yes, you'd get it.

Depends on what route you get for C1.

I've had people beat my ghost C1 because they had a huge stretch of Wangan at the end of it, so they put their hp to 820 to pull way ahead in the final 5km or so.

True, but then you could have gone 820 as well, considering its not exactly c1 anymore. lol

Well, this is assuming it's ghost, and you didn't forecast c1 being setup like that beforehand.

SOMEONE has to do a c1 in that condition at 720/740 because there's no way for them to have known, right?

So they set their ghost.

Then player 2 plays that ghost at 720/740, loses, notices the long straight, then races again at 820.

From that point on, the string of ghosts originating from player 1 should be (and will be) revenging each other at 820.

o i was playin today.... quite good. I was just vsin the next level. eg. 660HP, 680HP and 700HP. I can get to the next level by 2 wins instead of 3. fasta. Im up to lvl 25. Cmon I need lvl 30! lol 20 more bucks and lik 1 more hour.

True... but you can revenge then pull a ghost to one of the curvier courses after, then their 820 will kill them

The FAQ here have an error.

The dress-up parts for the game have no effect on the performance of the car itself. They are purely made for looks and competing with ID games.

as stated in the official Namco website's own FAQ:

That part of the FAQ should be changed and the entire FAQ should be re-examined for credibility so players of new and old would not be mislead.

You can't post whether it does or not because there are conflicting opinions, and always will be, over whether dress up does anything or not.

So, if you believe they don't because namco's site says so, great, but don't push your beliefs on everyone like.....some people....*cough*chosenknight*cough*

To be perfectly honest, I do hope i get proven wrong myself. i spend at least $80 dressing up my car. if chosen knight can prove me wrong with fact. i welcome it.

However, I also believe the pursuit of knowledge and truth. even in games. If wrong information is given, it should be changed. I'm also in Toronto as well. if chosen knight, Maxx, and anyone else want to meet me at funland or ryerson and debate this like rational people in person. I'll gladly meet with you.

think about form my side of view. Newbie, noobs, whatever you call us, we come to forms like this to find information to help improve ourselves and become a better palyers. we trusted the information is correct. to find out we got the wrong information is like going to school and then found out your teacher is a retard. that is why i' so pissed and think the FAQ should be changed.

There's really no reason to.

Despite both websites, and the manual stating that dress-up doesn't make a difference, players continue to believe it, and you can't tell them otherwise because if they feel a difference, you can't disprove what they're feeling, it's impossible.

Without official word from like a Namco exec, the issue is similar to that of religion, choose to believe it, or not, but don't push your opinions in other's faces.

Even the websites contradict themselves, saying it doesn't make a diff on one page and saying it does on another, so the issue isn't clear-cut at all.

Let's not break out this discussion though, it's been gone over too many times and gets too many people upset.

LOL surprisingly enough that we all notice changes when we dress-up our cars. It is all true. I guess namco tried to hide some secrets or made a lil mistake. O well...

Speak for yourself, there are several people on the site who don't feel a difference at all.
