QUOTE (shadowsuke @ May 17 2009, 11:45 AM) | there's a lot of specualtion
some believe tapping the stupid red button increases the boost, the higher your battle-star ratio, the higher the boost and many more
till now no one has the confirmed way to increase or decrease the boost
but in version c, somehow during the last 1km in battle, if you're 100m behind your opponent, the boost increases greatly |
LOL the red button tapping thing, I do it just cause everyone else does I tried racing without hitting the button before and I felt a bit slower o_o''...not by alot, but yea. I definitely felt a bit of difference. And the 1KM thing in Ver.C, im pretty sure it's just to make the race more interesting. This post has been edited by EnyCe on May 21 2009, 06:22 AM

And how do you expect to "test" this for yourself, exactly?
Are you going to use the force to pull imaginary numbers out of your head of how fast you think you should be catching up vs. what "the great red button" is "doing"?
Or are you going to...
QUOTE | A couple people hear that it does something, they start tapping the red light. If the race goes nicely in their favour, they're convinced from that point on that it does something (placebo effect). If not, they swear against it.

You guys can keep fighting namco's word, for whatever reason, I'll just play. Namco's obviously telling everyone the opposite of what they think because....well heck why WOULD they do something like that?
All these theories are just people trying to justify their money spent.
If you had an SSS car, wouldn't you spread rumours around trying to make your car seem better than everyone else's? Like it rams better or it gets more boost and stuff?
Sure would make that car look more enticing to buy a dupe of, wouldn't it?
Gee, I wonder why those Devil dupes are selling so well...

QUOTE (MaxX @ Today, 6:49 AM) | Your logic is flawed because there's a TA of a Z34 at 4'00'2xx.
Namco creates all the cars to be more or less equal in performance. There are tiers of top speeds, but they differ by no more than 3km/h from one car to another, and are only discernable in a TA setting. In battle, it doesn't make a shit of difference.
Were the R35 to be in the game, it'd be no different. Namco's not stupid, if you make OP and UP cars, your revenue stream is funnelled because there's no incentive for people to invest in anything other than the cookie-cutter cars with high stats.
The game is based off a manga with a STORY, the R35 has nothing to do with MT. That's probably the biggest reason that it's not included, besides licencing costs. |
yes there is an R35 included in MT .... i was also surprised to see one over at a manga... i think a forumer already posted it here somewhere .... cant remember under which thread... but yeah, the R35 is NOW included on the manga .. it's on the part where i think every character under the manga was just staring at the car with amazement.
