You're should be fine, go 20HP less and stay grip then try drift and be 1mm from the walls from tapping, then increase the the 20HP back to its usual HP u go, then repeat rinse and reward and rediscover, relearn and re-experience.
Then go up more.
We can't usually lose 2 seconds of time in a t.a easily. It takes mental alertness, focus and daring. and experience, with risk reward/ mistakes learnt and re-tests.
I'm a slow learner so it takes me 10 games to drop .5 seconds.. im serious.
So if it took me 3 months to get 3"30, from 3"32. im pretty sure im slow as a turtle.
But i know whats up.
How You Percieve It, Feel and Visualize it happening How you do it How you comapred what yo uthought u did and what happened and did. What is the result?
Was the fear helping you getting fast on that turn or not? If it did, don't forget it, if it didn't, you need to be a bit more confident and risk.
Retry again, Now you did it faster, now your speed and line is same, but realize your faster therefore your movement and lines will be affected, new emotion, new experience, new situation, new movements? uyep, u start to freak and make bad sect times due to inexperience fro ma differnt plane of field due to the speed at that section right?
Experience Yearns Rewards, Risks bring experience. Testing at HP brings more experience and doing differnet lines and reaction on movement and demand brings more shit.
So yeah.
I know all that, thats how i break my own t.as I have my own self as my own enemy, fear itself. which is why i can't break C1 IN atm

QUOTE (N•MAC @ 1 hour, 3 minutes ago) | On MT4 its 800 now. In C1 they use 700 now for TA. Yokohama is also at 800 |
The optimal time attack power settings seem to have changed for MT4.
Now, I've seen some Japanese players use 800/DG for Nagoya time attack for example. I found it puzzling because MT4 has made all cars slippery (compared to previous versions).....and now the power setting of 'DG' makes things even more slippery.
Oh well, I guess they can handle and control the extra slippage.
With that said, I suppose NBL CCW and the Hakone routes are now 740 HP/B.
How about the other courses?
P.S. Is 680 HP/G good enough for C1 time attack?
When I used 680 HP/G, I got 2'53'883 and 2'53'269 for C1 out (for my RX8 and R35 Spec V, respectively).
*That includes the two bumps in CP4/4th checkpoint*
My question is: Is it possible to get 2'51'999 just by using 680 HP/G?
