QUOTE (Tchan @ Today at 6:23 AM)
just ranks thats it.

EDITED: ohmy.gif There this guy that came into the arcade and said Initial D is better than Maximum Tune, fyi.

Maybe he's more interested racing Initial D with its cornering races than expressway straight lane races that WMMT has to offer... So far, a few threads here indicate that WMMT-3 has a few system bugs... i don't really know havent seen the full effect of this software bugs... but Ill be damned afraid if one of these bugs would end up eating my Tuning Card and never let it out! Zoiks! laugh.gif

Ok so I had a brilliant day today.

I got my first crown today........and uh.......followed that up with THREE MORE. Two of them were first tries at the ghost too. Take that, Ling (I know you took C1 back but shh, I took two others of yours....if you're even on this board at all)

Also went from B5 to B2 rank while completing Wangan and Yokohane outrun.

New title to go with that, "Wangan Instant Killer".

God getting that first crown is such a rush, and to get more today against such good ghosts....really boosts the esteem.

Today went to super, didn't wanna spendd 5 bucks on wangan, but I changed it to tokens. I sat down and took a challenge after someone lost...then we raced on Osaka and I won. Challenges me again and I win again, then someone other guy challenges me and I take it on Yokohane and beat him, then challenges me again on Osaka and I win. All of the sudden he quits so I decide to do T.A. Right at the beginning I get challenged by Handz lol then 2 more racers came in. (*Sky* and Nem) and we raced on Osaka and I won. I was basically tired after that. I had one 5 races on one dollar and was ready to quit now because I had class soon. So they challenge me again and I half-assed the battle because I was seriously tired. lol

Anyways point was that I got 5 races in under a dollar and I sold the rest of the tokens for cash. =p

Wow. reminds me of every time I go to All Amusement unless 818 is racing. Most people now recognize me and refuse to battle me there. A few months absence and they soon forget through. My 33 team card finally got stars on it off fully tuned cars. It's still missing 3 tune bars too. cool.gif

Last Saturday; this was the day when I first got my hands in the wheel of Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune THREE!!!

Yes! folks! I am obviously left out... as a person with a retrospective input in life... "You can't teach (this) old dog, new tricks!" But whoa!!! To my shock and disbelief, the arcade location which I passed by and the WMMT-3 cabinet was completely empty...

I tried it, and whoa! the details of the Expressway is astonishing, cars are now distinctively and visibly available on the opposite side of the highway, textures are a max... specially the road surface... (but still, nothing compared to Tokyo Extreme Racer though wink2.gif )

using a 280hp stock car in the form of the Mazda RX7 i took the Wangan Line for a cruise... sadly, there are still areas where there's pixelation in graphics... i find it sad, for this is not as apparent in WMMT-2... but i definitely want to praise NAMCO for making reflective surfaces on the car... though pixelized... reflecting images on a cars body is something to look upon... Overall, as a new user... it might take me some time to adapt to WMMT3's environment... but as they say: if you keep forcing yourself into it, you just might love it...

Locally though, with the increasing prices in arcade value? I guess I'll stick with WMMT-2 some more... when WMMT-4 appears (who knows!), WMMT-3 will just cheap-out a bit, the way WMMT-2 reduced their prices... and lesser players to tag along with... Then maybe I can play more with it... like I've said: I am an "old" dog here... and teaching me new tricks just might take a little longer!
wink2.gif

KEEP on RACING... Whatever!

where are you located? cheap WMMT3 games can be found in toms world SM fairview and festival mall. half the game price of timezone(around 12 pesos per game). still cheaper than WMMT2 games(25/swipe)

biggrin.gif:D. try to check out other toms world branches

i have and s30z and a ct9a...and when i play i feel the difference between a 4wd monster to rear wheel drive...my ct9 doesn't slide as much as the s30...and also the difference of my TA for the c1 inward between the two is 3 seconds...that's huge

also when i challenge my s30's ghost using the ct9 i always beat my s30 and i can never succesfully rematch

i think i just really suck with the s30

there are advantages to every type of drive, you just have to get used to it.

That's the problem with multiple cars, you never really get a solid feel for one or the other because you're constantly switching between them.

I'm sure if you dedicated all your time to your S30 for a week or two and went back to the ct9a, It'd feel weird.

Doing Chapter 29 right now, lost twice on it.

Planning on clearing hopefully up to 35 next time I play, but we'll see depending on how many I lose (hopefully none)

Still learning how to manage my speed and when to actually start turning on a sharp bend.

Its not that I played, but i found my long lost WMMT-2 Tuning Card. Its my FIRST card ever! its a Nissan 350Z, tuned to the max -power upgraded only (600np). With that problem, Im unable to win races since my handling uprade bars are empty. Now Im planning to play it and see if my new skills will control the ill-fated beast... this might take alot of braking... considering i'll be playing story mode? sheesh!! On the same time iL find out if this card is still working... i thinks its been a year now since it was unused... The card's image includes Akio Asakura and his Devil-Z... how I wish I knew the Nissan 240Z back then... and who knows, when I bought this card and picked that car... the coincidence is perfect. A blue 240Z on an "Akio Asakura background tuning card... I think this rarely happens to anyone? smile2.gif

I can't remember... do the machines eject your old card after replacement? If they do then that saves good old memories... laugh.gif

They ejected the old cards on WMMT 1 and 2. Thats how you could create a discard lol.

All my old ones are stuck to the wall (5 in total for 2 different cars)

I would assume that it's the same with WMMT 3.

They are Blu-Tacked to the wall.

Not sure if you would have it.

Sorta like a mildly sticky rubbery substance that you use to stick up posters or to hold things (like a flower in a certain position)

>> Congrats Tchan

Like I've mentioned before that i was going to use my long unused WMMT 2 card...
And to my delight!!! After one-year of being kept in my cabinet the whole thing is still working... not to mention that its still available for 38 more games life span...

On the other hand, having driven this badly tuned car (all 600hp, blue tuning bars, no handling upgrade) is quite crazy... but i adapted, well cause its way slower than my balanced tuned 720HP 240Z... it was fun, and i had fun using the six-speed tranny...

After 3 games i stopped... i was satisfied to find out that the card was working... i transferred to the other game area to watch people playing WMMT-3!!! It was fun, I stood for an hour just to spectate... and goodness! everyone's aggressively playing... there was even this one-and-only babe, by the card name TIN. She's driving a black Supra, and lead the way in Hakone... sadly came two guys driving an Evo and the other a 240Z with a custom G-nose... That put an end to her winning streak that night... but still, acknowledging the fact that she won more than 3000 stars in her record (if im not mistaken...)... she probably lost her concentration when her friend arrived... It's amazing though that TIN turned the steering wheel smoothly and shifted that way too... while the two guys sure made lightning quick twitches and shifting... whatever the technique maybe though... winning is winning... all of them made a good race!!! Considering there's skill, there's the probability of an advantage that the EVO and the 240Z had in Hakone...

It was a great spectator's day for me... i just wished it been a Saturday, definitely there will be more players... I was watching yesterday, a Thursday night... only a few players arrived...

Any of you been to TIMEZONE GLORIETTA 4 at around 6:30-7:30 probably found the feature players i have here...
