@Riou, you just out-trolled the troller. You WIN A COOKIE!
Honestly, what's up with people who are against renames/dupes? I saw one guy who has a duped R34 and he simply failed at Osaka; twice! Never even braked on the 15th Sakai corner back to the S-curve. The reason why he won was he raced someone on the same ghost level as him and won through boost.
Those guys who, as in Riou's experience, have a thing against renames should think about who's using it than what they see. Riou, I salute you for a FLAWLESS VICTORY!
Here's my story (there's 2 here)
Story #1 (Maximum Tune DX) I checked if I still have my C1 king (which I do) then Decided to take the C1 king on the other DX machines (6 total, 4 are connected, and the remaining 2 to each other); I tried my chances with C1 outer this time. Had some messy runs, but I managed to get the king by the 5th try. Hey, I'm not good at C1 outer just yet. Just pretty much gambled.
Story #2 (DX Plus) At my first (which was a free game; a loaded, unmanned unit) game was a flunk as I crashed to a truck on story mode, stage 41 on the last 2 kilometers. I just gave a sigh to myself and loaded again for 1 more game. The same guy with the rename R34, mentioned above, watched me in both DX & DX plus machines. I left my challenge-accept status on and he just waited there thinking what to do (race me or not) Dunno if he got intimidated by my DX run though; despite my R35 Spec V only has 800/DG. Just finished stage 41 and I'm hoping to get it to 45 at least before my trip to Brisbane to max it out.

Raced against the dirtiest player I've ever raced with in my days with Maximum Tune. He took every opportunity to slam you into a wall or a truck. Usually I only ram defensively (To the point that my aura was green), but in this case I had to fight back for once and never at any point in the battle did he race cleanly. He was a good driver though, he knew his lines in the courses quite well. But it just turned out he was very aggressive too It seemed like he won half the games, i won maybe a quarter of those games. There were other players too, one was his friend who was kinda aggressive but not as much, other one was less aggressive. But he caused the machine to have a steering wheel error like literally, 4 or 5 times in the time I raced against him.. He was so aggressive in his driving style especially when trying to slam people against walls and trucks.

Sooner or later, anybody playing dirty gets the "for great justice" routine, usually by bigger fish -- or piranhas.
Your story's pretty much BT/DT, but it still sucks every time it happens. Excessive aggression makes him a punk in pretty much WMMT player's book; topping it off by sys-freezing the machine -- said punk shouldn't be touching the machine, much less coming near it. Not only does it inconvenience us players, but also the staff that have to sidetrack to reset the machine, and if necessary, arrange to have it repaired.
Against such players is the only time I'd endorse active course-dragging and in-game-mobbing; long story short, deny the guy ANY satisfaction. At all.

QUOTE (Esparko @ 20 minutes, 32 seconds ago) | I'm used to some dirty players. I don't play dirty, but I play "smart" with them i guess. I know that they'll ram me so I trick them into bumping walls or trucks then I just speed pass them
For me, it's much more fun tricking dirty players rather than being dirty back. It's like karma for them |
Agreed... besides i don't really know how to ram people effectively (blocking a bit is all that i know ) what i do usually is just guessing where will be the finish line are, trying to force the race directions to courses with corners (like if you play at Wangan try to force it to go to C1 or at least Yoko) trying to get some chances to pass them, since passing those players on straightaways usually quite difficult to me... well... about my story today practically almost no VS battle at all (suprisingly not much people come on Sunday) so i just spend the time tuning up my remaining car.. Perhaps the best place to ask that is the Toyota Thread.

its supposed to throw you off. I take every opportunity, within reason, to slow another player down.
By the way, green aura means you generally don't hit anything.
