It's what my mates taught me. I have a crap TA time in Fukuoka because I rarely TA. But I have a 90% win rate in Fuku battles, not boasting. wink2.gif

That's only 'ok' if you have a TA of 29 or 28.
The real deal is C1. even though i don't like fukuoka, i'm not and forgotten the battle lines. = [ darn it, thats why i lose to fukuoka whores.

@Topic
Recent battles been okay, i been targeted by 3 guys who tried to 3v1 me in osaka and fukuoka. and i beat them 2 times then they left.

What made me annoyed was one waited for me to win, then before i win he comes in and save their friends, woulda been 3-4 wins if not.
And i did it all dirty. They weren't noobs though. but not pro either. kinda in between. it was an evo, mx5 and rx8 team lol IM SO COCKY.

also i got my stupid Eagle Hawk Picture on my 1000th star on my hakouksa now.

I gotta take a pic.

@i can't seem to beat a guy who drives in A hk-like style but changes to pure clear running/precision/straight style at the last km, really annoying to me. but meh.

Finally transferred the Legacy to DX+, new music at 'do you have a card' screen feels weird every time.

DU'ed, put TCIIs and a GT wing back on. One on Nagoya, two on Hakone. After watching TAs to refresh my memory I seem to be picking the game up pretty fast again. Some corners I took amazingly, but other ones I completely screwed up because I turned too early (better than too late I guess) and either scraped the inside wall for a bit, or overcorrected and smashed into the outside wall at the exit.

Played DX TAing Osaka with an 815 MX5 present card to see what it feels like. Felt nice, not used to the gauges though. Same issue as the DU races, ran a 3:59 (QQ).

Not bad for a two year break I guess.

Versed a drunk guy in MT. Scariest shit ever. If i lost, then i lost $2, if i won i could potentially get dropped. The guy fell asleep on his steering wheel so it's all good. He didnt even realise he lost.

Played WMMT3 at SM for 6 hours straight today. It's safe to say I'm addicted. I started playing 4 days ago, and completed the 80 story mode chapters in two days, and the last two days I've been dressing up my car.

I met the two players who hold all the crowns in my area. It's a father (KCB18) and his daughter (TJPC). The daughter is only 17 and she holds all the crowns except the New Belt Line one, which belongs to the father. I played a few games with the dad, and he was really good. They've been playing for five years. My goal was to take all the crowns before I go back to America (no Wangan there), but after seeing the skill difference, I'm convinced that it'll be really hard.

I want to get the Hakone crown at least. Should I make an FD3S RX-7 or is an EVO 8 fine for that?

I can't wait to play again tomorrow. I'm gonna get at least 60 games in (been having to renew my card every day).

Haha, she wasn't bad looking.

It was TJPC (the daughter) and the dad's was KCB18 and I think his other card is BOE18.

I was looking for some Hakone vids last night and found her on YT:

I was playing WMMT3 at SM Baliuag btw.

jokes aside, the price for 1 credit for 3dx+ went down by 1 php.
made renewing the GRB a bit cheaper.

HEY JAMMY! I ASKED FIRST! >.< LOL

Her line's a bit rustic at first but it's probably because of the other opponents behind her (the GDB) but wow... she even beat my last Hakone battle run by 3 seconds. Baliuag, eh? Well I'm from the Central City, Makati; hope she visits there and we'd race sometime. biggrin.gif (When I get home that is) But I think she goes at Megamall as well (one of the link replies on the vid)

I'll aim for her Hakone battle time once I race again at Hakone. If I manage to par with her time, using my 34 or Evo8, I know I'll make progress.

Just completed stage 84 & 85 for my Z33. Nothing Special. Just a combination of My Z33 & Hatsune Miku songs (Romeo & Cinderella).

Edit: but the vids are a year old; It would be nice for some updated footage of one of her Hakone outbound games to see if it changed somewhat.

Yeah, they told me that they play at Megamall sometimes.

Today I renewed my EVO 8 and got it to 3.3km mileage (not bad for my 5th day playing). I'm feeling a little burnt out because all I did today was Hakone. I did a time trial for the first time on Hakone OB and got 2'39, which I know is hella terrible. Any tips?

I also made a FD3S RX-7 with the intent of making it a purely Hakone car, but maybe it's best that I spend my money learning the course on my EVO8 instead of building up another car. RX-7 seems suuuuper good on Hakone though, it's a little tempting.

I battled a few guys today too, playing with Boost On feels pretty lame cause it seems like they can catch up no matter how many times they crash. I battled on the usual Hakone and Osaka, but I got taken to C1 and ended up getting my ass handed to me. I'll probably start learning that course after I master Hakone.

an FD seems like a good car to use on hakone; it has the base power & the rotary engine that gives it more agility, somewhat... well, that's how i call it. Though some say the SE3P RX-8 is better at it; I suggest not to join that fray; it's a completely overused car like the Evo; no offense to you since I own an Evo 8 card as well.

A tip I can give you is that you only need to stick on 2 certain gears; since you're an evo 8 hence you're a 6-gear car so...

Hakone layout: start -> downhill -> uphill -> downhill -> uphill ->downhill followed by roundabout.

What I normally do is at section 2, when it starts to go uphill, stay on gear 4 all throughout the chicanes; if the straights are kinda medium to long, go for gear 5 then back to 4 when you see a corner. On the downhill, stay on gear 5 all throughout UNTIL the right hairpin; downshift from there.

It's mostly keeping your car on the high revs throughout the hillclimb then maximize the 5th gear. You may go for 6th if you want but beware of the speed loss when you go through corners; it hits hard & hurts your speed. Roundabouts are best taken at either 5 or 4. But exit at gear 5 for that corner exit boost. 5-gear cars are on the higher advantages on these parts for a reason.

That's all I can help you with; I'm not a regular... YET, since I'm on hiatus.

And don't be afraid of the Boost-on on Hakone; I raced with boost-on against 2 guys (see my previous journal entry) and outran them by 600 meters and that's BOOST ON (not bragging but it's possible; you don't need boost off to be sure of what you're doing if they crash)

Thanks for the Hakone tips, I heard that I should learn it on 800 and bring it down once I can consistently run it clean on that setting.

I played relatively short today, only a couple hours. My first day playing without having to renew my card. I was gonna make a HiAce card today but the machine didn't accept the code on the 1P side so the card was wasted.

I started to take on the Hakone crown but she's really fast. The series of small S-Turns in outbound (I think it's CP2) really kills me.

You should start on 740 or 760. Then when you're familiar with the course, you can go 780 if you want.

tip on CP2: keep on gear 4 and DON'T BRAKE when entering between the S-curves but un-gas instead; much like a tap-tap-tappy like what some do in Initial D arcade stage. That's how I go through that section and Ironically; when I try to take the crown and fail; that's where I get the upperhand O.o but the Hakone king here where I am is sooooooo dirty that I lose my ground on CP4.

I went to Mall of Asia yesterday and played MT3DX+ for the first time. The music seems to be way better. I played Hakone and was expecting to be able to use an Official Machine for time trial, but I was surprised when they didn't give me the option on both an E8 and MX-5!
