QUOTE (+-!mma_N00B-+ @ Oct 9 2011, 01:18 AM) |
It's what my mates taught me. I have a crap TA time in Fukuoka because I rarely TA. But I have a 90% win rate in Fuku battles, not boasting. |
That's only 'ok' if you have a TA of 29 or 28. The real deal is C1. even though i don't like fukuoka, i'm not and forgotten the battle lines. = [ darn it, thats why i lose to fukuoka whores.
@Topic Recent battles been okay, i been targeted by 3 guys who tried to 3v1 me in osaka and fukuoka. and i beat them 2 times then they left.
What made me annoyed was one waited for me to win, then before i win he comes in and save their friends, woulda been 3-4 wins if not. And i did it all dirty. They weren't noobs though. but not pro either. kinda in between. it was an evo, mx5 and rx8 team lol IM SO COCKY.
also i got my stupid Eagle Hawk Picture on my 1000th star on my hakouksa now.
I gotta take a pic.
@i can't seem to beat a guy who drives in A hk-like style but changes to pure clear running/precision/straight style at the last km, really annoying to me. but meh.

QUOTE (Gunma's 34 @ 2 hours, 59 minutes ago) | Hmmm... was the daughter cute?
What are their Maxi names and which SM did you play? |
Haha, she wasn't bad looking. It was TJPC (the daughter) and the dad's was KCB18 and I think his other card is BOE18. I was looking for some Hakone vids last night and found her on YT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrqQbSELSFII was playing WMMT3 at SM Baliuag btw.

an FD seems like a good car to use on hakone; it has the base power & the rotary engine that gives it more agility, somewhat... well, that's how i call it. Though some say the SE3P RX-8 is better at it; I suggest not to join that fray; it's a completely overused car like the Evo; no offense to you since I own an Evo 8 card as well.
A tip I can give you is that you only need to stick on 2 certain gears; since you're an evo 8 hence you're a 6-gear car so...
Hakone layout: start -> downhill -> uphill -> downhill -> uphill ->downhill followed by roundabout.
What I normally do is at section 2, when it starts to go uphill, stay on gear 4 all throughout the chicanes; if the straights are kinda medium to long, go for gear 5 then back to 4 when you see a corner. On the downhill, stay on gear 5 all throughout UNTIL the right hairpin; downshift from there.
It's mostly keeping your car on the high revs throughout the hillclimb then maximize the 5th gear. You may go for 6th if you want but beware of the speed loss when you go through corners; it hits hard & hurts your speed. Roundabouts are best taken at either 5 or 4. But exit at gear 5 for that corner exit boost. 5-gear cars are on the higher advantages on these parts for a reason.
That's all I can help you with; I'm not a regular... YET, since I'm on hiatus.
And don't be afraid of the Boost-on on Hakone; I raced with boost-on against 2 guys (see my previous journal entry) and outran them by 600 meters and that's BOOST ON (not bragging but it's possible; you don't need boost off to be sure of what you're doing if they crash)
