Can we please stop referring to story mode loops as overhauls?

You're not overhauling anything by doing another loop, nothing changes like they did in MT1/2. It's just a 2nd/3rd/xth loop, not an overhaul.

I don't see what's so hard to understand about the story mode rankup explanation on the first post in this thread, Gino, but yes, you will rank up.

Cause after it says complete stage 80 - rank up, it then says complete 160 stage - rank up. I didn't know whether it was another 80 or 160 all in total.

and whats the difference if I call it overhaul despite the fact you don't get one? Natural habit from WMMT2? What does it even matter to you what I call it? If someone calls it overhaul and you know what they're talking about (I guess in your case, Story Loop), don't complain and just answer the question if you want.

Question: In the list show u have get to those step by step to get to SSS rank right? but i saw someone with SSS rank without 10 000 stars, so is there many other ways to rank up that's not in the list?

I suppose u could get to SSS by doing enough story mode... lol... it'll probably take 100 loops though

din i say clearly how to rank up by looking at the number at the card?

Is it possible to get traffic on hakone in versus mode if your rank is high enough? If yes, which rank enables traffic on hakone?

If you'd read past the first page, it's been discussed that this "guide" is innaccurate. Why it hasn't been corrected, I don't know.

Ok, slightly off-topic but it's about Ghost wins. is there an indicator in the set-up page as to how many Ghost battles have I won?

I noticed that in the previous posts, players seem to know exactly as to how many ghost wins they have exactly/in the range of.

I kind of lost track as to how many Ghost wins or in what range of Ghost wins that i have because I always challenge the Ghost King and I always lose. Basically, I've completed all the Dress-up parts due to my constant losing to the Ghost King.

I want to know how many wins that I have currently in Ghost battles so that I have a very good idea as to how many Ghost battles I have left to Rank/level up.

When you first insert your card and can flip through those pages of info, the number of ghost wins you have is recorded directly underneath where it shows your overall dress-up level.

It'll look like:

Dress lv. xxx

Ghost vs. Races xxx wins xxx

and here it'll show your crowns.

Also, understand that your total ghost vs wins has absolutely no relation to how your ghost fares against other people when you're not there. Those wins/losses are recorded on a different page altogether, and only show your record for that perticular machine.

i could be wrong, bt ghost wins could play a role in deciding where your car is when people challenge a ghost of level X

you know how when you're choosing a ghost, it says to the left is Easy, to the right is Hard...

this is just a thought, anyone can confirm/shoot me down?

^^When you reach 300 ghost battle wins, your ghost can be chosen under level 10 (Super Hard) along with the preset ghosts under that level, depending of course if you have a record run on the course on that cabinet.

Sometimes it doesn't appear though, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

be it level 1, 2, or 9 or 10

where on that grid of 10 cars within that level do you end up...

I've never been anywhere other than farthest to the left no matter how many vs. wins I've accumulated, same for others who have way more than me.

The only time that you're anywhere other than the far left, is when there are multiple human lv10 ghosts on that perticular cabinet.

Even then, ghost wins don't seem to affect where you are out of all the human lv.10s. I was further right than someone with way more wins than me, then the next playthrough we switched places.

It's random, I'm sure, that's why sometimes you don't even showup.

this is what i notice for ghost lv 10

u start out on the left ... as u dun play the cabinet in ghost mode ... ur car will be pushed to right ...

even when ur car is on the right ... once u play ghost ... u will revered back to the left ...

for ur dress lv ...
i noticed that once u pass the lv 200 mark ... which i have ... ur top crown isnt gonna be easy on those who are lv 100 or less ...
i've tested out by taking Wangan Line and Osaka Crown ghost using a R33 ... it took really many tries to bring it down ... even after the 50th try ... the ghost doesnt seemed to let go much ... although it always amuses me that peeps with cars like E9, E8 or even R32 wanted the Wangan Straight Crown ...

i only have 46 stars..only 4 more ranks to lvl up, i let go of 2 free wins the other days, 2 noobs was playing terrible..but i thought to myself..im not this low. So i didnt challenge them..

Nobody here was arguing that SSS existed, infact several people confirmed it existed IN THIS THREAD already. You just don't read.

Another example of you not reading and just wanting to boost your postcount is making that Gemballa thread, which was covered already in a different Gemballa thread a while ago with the EXACT same video.
