Hmmm...just wondering if the first page is correct and updated?

It looks correct but I'm not 100% sure because in the previous threads, it was mentioned that the thread starter wasn't updating it. Not sure though if the thread starter has updated it recently.

I'm currently high on MT3 and have leveled up from A3 (Aug 8) to S9 (Aug 11)

I'm going to try for S8 starting today..might get it tonight or tomorrow morning.

I'm doing the Story modes.

I need clarification on this because I got a conflicting info from a friend. he said that after Story loop 4, you should finish Story Loops 5 and 6 to get one level up.

My friend's info:
Finish story loops 2-3-4. 1 level up each.
Finish story loops 5 & 6, 1 level up for the 2 loops finished only
You must then finish 5 loops after the 6th loop to get 1 level up.
The 5 loops will be the pattern after that for the future level ups.

The info on the first page says otherwise. It says on the first page that you get a level up after finishing Story loop 5. It's only finishing the 6-7th Story loops that you get a single level up.

Info posted on first page. I place the Story (n) on the right side to be more clear

BearZ also posted an info which also conflicts with my friend's info.

I trust bearZ and my friend so...which of the 3 infos is correct?

isnt there a level up for every loop until after the 8th is completed? thats what i assumed.

u get a lvl up at 3,4,5,6,8,11,16,21,26,31,36,41,46,51,56,61,66,71 story cycle ect....

this is probably the correct version, since ed himself is like at SS5 now or higher ~

can u clarify...

when u say theres a lvl up at 6,

does it mean, when you GET the number 6 on your card, or when you already HAVE the number 6 on the card, then finish that loop?

It's completion of those loops, not the number on your card.

hmm. dont u get a rankup on loop 2 as well?

if its completion of loop X (6 in this case),
with a 6 on the card doesnt mean its the 6th loop, which means the rank up will be achieved?

unless u read it as... getting number 3 (completing loop 2), etc etc...
which means getting number 7 wont get anything...

i think that number is the number of completed loops, not current loop

its the number of the loop you're currently on. when you finish story for the first time, a 2 comes up. so, if by going what Moss said, that means you magically finished it twice in one.

its current loop...
spent some time thinking while awake and on red bull.. and i suspect i wont get the level

right o then, that would explain why my chaser has a 2 on it

the numbers like 3 is number on your card AFTER lvl up.

to add on what e28 said ... .
i quote an example ... you start with a NEW data card your story mode will start with 1 (of cos it does not print out 1 cos it obvious) so after you finish 80 story mode (which means you finish the 1st loop).

SO you begin "again" the 2nd loop of the story mode; thats when the machine print a "2" on the card ...

does 4k stars have level up?

Well it was kind of a team decision (especially since KAREN's owner is the team boss so it was gonna be a tribute to him). Besides some of us love to watch whole races and not just short clips of it.
