QUOTE (Sailor Enlil @ 1 hour, 18 minutes ago) | That wasn't me driving - it was a friend (who's also much better than me in VS battle; in fact he's one of our team's best players, and a real life Racing School Instructor). It so happens he wasn't used to the GC8; it was his first time with it in fact, so he was having a little difficulty with it. (also, if you look carefully towards the end of the race, the Gear Shift went neutral - the shifter was malfunctioning, hence he went to 3rd place at the end) Otherwise he's one of the nastiest players in our team and is extremely aggressive, like here when he took my Starion for a ride |
This one was a lot better than the yoko, but still very placid comparing to Melbourne standards
In a nutshell, noone leaves 4th (in 6) or 3rd (in 5) for a good majority of the race lol
DAT KILL at the start after the right turn.
Considering it was 830, not too bad. Everyone else was meh, but the starion driver i want to vs lol

QUOTE (Dare @ Yesterday, 1:39 PM) | Isnt Carlo the one with the Karen Supra? |
He used to. Now he drives a RX-7 FD named heiji, or an Evo VIII named MIVEC.

Hehe what looks like placid play to you is actually strategic play for us (we don't exactly do "Attack! Attack! Attack!" style if that's what you mean by aggressiveness; in our experience that kind of play often leads to stupid mistakes). Our way is to wait patiently for the right time and/or place (eg at a red corner), or for the guy in front to make a bad move (eg like the "kill" you saw in the Starion video), then pounce. That's what our team leader taught me (he's the guy who won in the video with the GC8, and who drove the R2 in the Starion video, and is himself a top player). As for the guy who drove my cars, he's in his element when he drives his trusty R32 - then he's a total MONSTER as in he'll use every trick in the book and more to win. actually smart battling is the way to go, rough HK style is hard to manage even with team MafiA's standards of burning you to a crisp then again I applaud your tactics too sir Enlil, sometimes you need to attack at the very precise moment of their weakness and use it to your advantage, I had experience experimenting HK aggresive style which is not good for me tho, but your tactics explained is my preferred choice in battling depends on the opponent and yeah sir carlo's dominating aura gets to me too much @sailor_enlil so if you see *JWC* evo VIII SS-ranked car, feel free to unleash hell, his tactics are that aggressive but easy to make him self destruct, and he usually fishes some players at one time I also waiting for him to fish some guests or unexperienced players but he backed out feeling that I was waiting for a trap @dare why not ONINS one of fellow teammates of sir carlo and probably his disciple This post has been edited by vash944 on Apr 28 2013, 07:09 PM

QUOTE (vash944 @ 47 minutes, 25 seconds ago) | actually I still need to learn some other dirty tactics like busting 2v1 aggresive battlers, still I don't want to rely too much on traffic or luck to win, sometimes If I feel that they back down during turns I do step ahead and try to fight off
shut-in blocking defense is hard to maintain when an advanced players knows your intention, but if they did a burn-out block during straights at the start, I do no holds barred aggression or simply taste them hell =P
@fkn this will be a good experience looking that movie, will be seeing that later when you upload it |
2v1 is my favorite types of battle If u know ur better than the blocker, u let him do his job or pass him and block him untill 3kms left and always stay within 100m of the leader those are the races u will learn the most from, generally the leader wont be skilled enough to block u [ Post merged on Apr 28 2013, 08:05 PM ]

QUOTE (SixthSense @ Today, 10:24 AM) | Well, that's why I said recommend any Subaru cars~~ Le GC8 seems interesting since SailorEnlil posted the videos~~~
[ Post merged on May 23 2013, 06:28 PM ] And I've just noticed I like 5-gear cars more than 6-gear cars~~~ @@
The only 6-gear car in MT4 is my legitimate E9 :/ |
I will say one can try both 5-gear or 6-gear cars, though they are different in concepts for shifting, but what made you decide to try the next car is merely experience based personally I have GC8, GDB-C and GDB-F, wishto try GRB later...my personal preference will be GC8 and GDB-C...still not very used to GDB-F at the moment, but here comes the key, jusT drive
