Hmm my evo8 is feeling too grippy, i'm currently using Enkei Forged Evo Limited. Anyone got suggestions as to what wheels i could put on to make it more 'drifty'. thanks

Try Yokohama SuperADVAN RacingVer.2,
a.k.a. "3 spoke" , in MMT2

Hmm, i havn't actually tried this rim but according to the rim's guide that was taken from the namco website it says that the SuperADVAN RacingVer.2 is a ricer :S. Meaning just for looks. I'll probably try it out though thanks a lot for the advice ! =D

TE37 is good for everything imo... good rim to go back to...

enkei forged works well with the evo though... why you wanna change it?

TE37's are the most basic dressup rims i think (besides the fact that its dressup level number 2)... an all rounder.. well balanced, doesnt excel in any one area... but feels great...

I dun really think so Dare. The TE37 is way too slippery for the z33. Well for me that is. Might feel good for you, but yer. I may try it if I had aero kit C with frp hood with duct and GT wing. But it tends to still slide abit too much for me. (Tried on friend's z33)

cant have things too grippy either though... thing is you're used to the s30... the feeling of slideyness will be there more than it would otherwise

well, your lines and turning points are a touch off... but yes, your car does seem to grip a LOT the last time i played... a lot more than my Supra.. more than I remember my own two evo's being (both stock and official machine)

one thing you could do though... go for one bar HP higher... instead of messing wtih the grip.

you'll get more speed/accel.. and you'll slide more...

Enkei forged and TE37 are both good for the evo 6,8,9 but i like the looks of the forged more on the evos. but IMO, the TE37 are good for all the main cars i used so far which are BNR34, BNR32, FD3S, S15, CTA9 8, CT9A 9 and GDB-C

QUOTE (Tha-Azn @ Apr 16 2008, 04:26 PM)
okay should i use
Enkei JS+M
on both FD and GTO??

Lately I tried the RAYS 57F on the GTO, with quite pleasing results (increased grip, over the TE37 I used previously).

I concurred with the guys who suggested TE37 for the EVO8 - last night I slapped them on to my EVO8, and in a series of VS battles got 3 wins in a row grin2.gif (even with a major rammer among the opponents, and one BOOST OFF race), plus smashing the machine TA record on Kanagawa, and getting a 2 secs improvement on Yokohane Downward from my car's previous record on that course.

wow, those rims sure make a difference. Two seconds improvement in time is pretty good just on a set of TE37's. VOLKS for the win!

Ok... I need wheels for my GTO but I have been reading on this forum lately that Rays 57Fs are better than the TE37, cos it improves the grip. But does it decrease anything in anyway? Just askin. Cos I need to place some tires onto my GTO soon.
