What's a list of recommended wheels (with black as a color) for the RX8, Evo9, Z33, and GDB-F; same thing but with white for the Evo9 and GDB-F.

Sorry, trying to match a theme.
Like with my Evo9, went with a tri-color theme - Black, flame 2 (WHT-BLU), blue neon, DC bonnet, and Enkei WRC Tarmac; handled real well.

And the key words in the question was "recommended", followed by "[color] as selectable". If I went by color first instead of performance recommendation, I'd have the worst outta all my cars. With white, I've only tried the GramLights 57F and Evo Forged; haven't found any good ones that come in black, and I dunno about the Watanabe EIGHT SPOKE.

Yeah - well, you get that performance comes before looks (a twist on "age before beauty).

With black (including full-on black), I know the Watanabe EIGHT SPOKE / Cyclone / Stellar, Yokohama SuperAdvan, and Rays GT-C / GTM had that available.

I thought the Rays GramLights 57F handled really well (good handling, light weight, tight response); was gonna change my RX-8's body color to orange, outfit it with a Carbon Bonnet, GT2 wing, set A, and the 57F in orange; add on one of the Line stickers in black.

Should put this in the Nissan thread. As for the wheels, go with whatever you think feels right for now, then consult a few friends that are kinda veteran players. Trade facts/opinions before making a final decision.

Like with my Z33, I put on the Rays GramLights 57F because it gave good performance for my other cars; still testing it out - may go back to the Enkei WRC Tarmac Evo Ltd. Ed. Forged for more grip (so far as I'm told).

the RC-T4s and the RPF-1s are good because there is no real downside to using them. and they provide sufficient grip to the car just enough so the sliding doesn't get too out of control for you. you can experiment around with other rims, but those two are quite popular with the z33.

Personally, I don't see differing wheel/rims as a major asset for in the end.......it's still the driver that counts.

I mean, even if I'm using Yokohama SuperADVAN RacingVer.2 on my Corolla, I'm quite happy with it and I can still get lots of battle wins.

So I personally don't see choosing the best possible wheels/rims as a major contributor for in the end, it's all about driving skills.

Two cents. smile.gif

So what you're saying is that choosing the best specific wheels/rims is more of a recommended option and not a necessity/requirement then???

If so, then I'm cool with that notion

Guess I can keep my Yokohama SuperADVAN RacingVer.2 in my Corolla after all:)

Personally, yes.

Its "recommended"

its not a "MUST USE"

imo everyone has different styles, and what dressup you use should be tailored to YOUR style...

one reason i really dont like people asking for suggestions and posting my own setup...

i'll only let people know what i personally feel... then suggest they go try it out for themselves...

thats just me

Dare is right. all rims are different and most people want something different out of what they get. you could have crap rims, good rims, or none at all, but its what suits the driver best that you should get.

Every rims has their own unique point, so I don't think there's such thing as "same level or similar level". smile.gif

Well i need something like the T7's but just a tad more grip...

The response in turning and acceleration for the T7's is INCREDIBLE, but the deceleration and slide is insane!

I think the Enkei Evo Forged, Rays GramLights 57F, and Enkei RC-T4 work well on a lot of cars, if any/all. I would add the TE37s to that, but I'm still testing them out.

Try "reducing the number of spokes"
