Xplizit: what car do you have? im guessing you have a FD or FC? cuz its light and drifty? but anyways there are light cars and heavy cars in this game, cars such as evos/stis/rx-7, etc are considered light. cars like R34, GTO, Chaser, Celsior, etc are considered heavy. theres also body kits which can weight down ur car and make handling better, then theres body kits which make ur acceleration faster, etc. its also the rims because there are rims that provide lots of grip and rims that dont have much grip/slide.
checkitout: flames? like you mean aura/the flames behind ur car on the screen when u end a game and it shows ur cars mileage? auras you only get after 5000km, and the aura can get bigger then more milage you have.

QUOTE (BluePixel(HK) @ Today at 3:46 AM) | Hmm, nawww I think it's code hacking or somthing that allows you to use a gemballa from a jap machine and code it in to the internatoin machines.. duno but my fd used to have one. But na they don't have them on the choosing car screen..
T_T sigh.. |
There is no code hacking... You don't need a Japanese Machine or card to make a Gemballa from scratch on MT2. The code is already in the International Machines (it's just not selectable from the in game meny. All that was done was use an emulator on the International machine to initialize a discard write of the Gemballa.

QUOTE (Xplizit @ Today at 10:35 AM) | btw, my car is a skyline gt-r. aero type C i believe. im not sure what rims, but im like at lvl 31 dress up mode. somehow my friends car is the same car, his is aero type B but with diff wheels. so im guessin the wheels are gona make my car heavy? |
Just asking since nobody really puts the v-spec( II) stuff, which leads to confusion. Your car is an:
- R32 (title is "The _ Prince")
- R33 (title is "The _ Romeo")
- R34 (title is "The _ Wind")
As for wheels, they make a huge difference. I tried the following:- Rays 57Fs: tried on all my cars after finding them great on my RX-8; bear in mind it was stupid, but it was an experiment. They were great when it came to grip, which was a good thing; however, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing - my turns on Osaka suffered because they gripped a bit too tightly at times, causing me to eat wall instead.
- Enkei Forged: I gave 'em up *years* ago - even at Balanced HP, I got massive overslide; I wanted "slide", and boy did I get it.
- RGIIs: On Hakone, they're a "NO" - they got like the "death-grip" grip of all rims. I've not only eaten corners because of them, I've come deathly close to "sinking my battleship" (broadside collisions).

QUOTE (MoneyMarv @ Today at 2:12 PM) | Ppl, whats a good rim for evo 9, and whats also a good rim for r32 ?
*points at raven* |
*points at self* "Me?" For the Evo9, these are the wheels I've used and what I can say about them. Two things to bear in mind: - COLOR: These wheels may not be highly recommended, but they're mentioned bcause I use color-coordination.
- HANDLING: I used Automatic for most of my games, primarily because I couldn't Manual (well) but also for the extra slide; IMO, the wheel's Automatic "overslide" can be used to gauge how much the entire car may slide in Manual (best example being with the Enkei Forged). After swapping back-n-forth between AT/MT with several of my cars, I think I've got a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Enkei WRC Tarmac Evo Forged: anyone can use them for all I care, these slide a lot - you'll notice this more in Auto than Manual. However, even my friend had trouble with them when he went 800HP/MT. Recommendation: cap it at 780, don't go ballistic at 820 unless it's Wangan.
- Rays 57F: grippy, slides enough. Still need to compensate for the tight turn lest you ding the corners.
- Yokohama RGII: grippy, more than the Rays 57F. You may want to take the Rays 57Fs instead of these when you go to Hakone.
- Enkei RC-T4: used on my GDB-F and Z33 for high-perf and balance (respectively), yet to test on my Evo9 - it may do mine wonders.
- Rays GT-C: It's a moderately balanced wheel with some slide. Keep in mind, the kit+wing config may upset the balance - on my R33, it was slippery with the A3 setup but grippy with the A2. Has a bit of slide w/ the Evo9, but that's useful for half-gas cornering.
