well with Automatic, the only real issue is when to shift. obviously, when using an Auto, the computer shifts for you, but it might not be the optimum shift for maximum acceleration in a gear. but with Manual, it'll take some time to get your shifting perfect.

Hmm, though I wonder if the HiAce maximum acceleration in manual and auto has a difference without boost on pinch2.gif

accel is the same, only difference in auto/manual is shift points.

computer tends to shift a bit late.
if you know how to shift, you'll do better.

if you dont... obviously it wont work

well i was thinking that when the computer shifts, its always when it hits redline. and when the car's speed dips below that speed, it takes a little while for it to downshift then.

Ah I see!

Because I'm driving manual with my GTR V Spec II, Evo 9, HiAce and the Blackbird car.

I'm considering on trying to use Auto for HiAce/Evo9 or any new cars I wanna try, quite inspired by the RX8 on auto on Hakone o_O

lmao

thats raven's run..
he did that coz he doesnt know how to use manual

xD

and an auto driver will always loose out to a manual driver of the same skill, if it were a boost off battle...

coz the fact of the matter is, the loss of accel is a HUGE hit.

Noted, I'll try running auto with the cars I have and see how it feels, then switch back to manual biggrin.gif

Btw, can anyone give ratings on the Toyota Corolla, i.e.e handling, top speed etc. smile.gif

Also, does anyone knows the top speed of corolla at full tune? I haven't been able to find this information anywhere pinch2.gif

Adding on to my prior question,

This sounds dumb, but I'm real confused, what's a discard?

Every time you renew your card (after 60 games) your old card becomes a discarded card. You can use the discarded card to create a new car of the same model, but it will be at chapter 20 of story mode (600HP). You can choose another colour for your car, rename it, etc. Bear in mind that none of your dressup parts or TA/Outrun records will not be transferred onto the new car created from the discarded card. Also you can only use a discarded card to create a new car twice.

Hope this helps!

slight clarification...

It would have finished chapter 20, not at chapter 20...

as far as choosing another colour/renaming, ta time, etc etc etc, essentially, its creating a new car, based on the original colours available... just that you have a 20 chapter shortcut

and err. tenkai.
use that edit button

^^

Huh? The only way to change to another car is to buy another car

and the maximum star limit is still unknown yet. It's more than you can imagine.

@ Rookie_One: That doesn't answer the question smile.gif

lets just say that its slide a lot, have a low accel ont the fifth speed, but on the 3rd and 4th speed the accel is great

if one can master it, it can be a beast on Hakone, only surpassed by the R2

myself i'm a frequent corolla user and i find it hard to use

really not a beginner car

Hmm, I somewhat feel I wanna try it though smile.gif

Btw, I'm confused with this too. Are the new cards created out of discards renameable? Because I have friends telling me it doesn't, unless it only applies to the Singapore Machines here dry.gif

You name discards.

You don't name MT2 cards carried over to MT3 unless their name violates the language filter.

No, you can't change to another car once you've made a car. The card only holds one car data at a time.

I don't get what you mean in your example. Maybe you should ask that question in the Indonesia thread and you can post your question in your own language there.

as for ID4, I'll only answer it once and for all. Their dress up has no effects, unlike in MT3. Their dress up is based on points system. DOn't post any ID4 questions anymore. TY

how the eff does an impreza transform into an evo?

obviously, you cant

@ Tenkai

when you use a discard, you create a NEW card.
You're not renaming it, you're not changing anything, you're making a NEW card.

Wait. I think I get him now.

@uncle wise: No. MT3 cards system isn't the same with ID4's card system. ID4 card system can hold 3 cars in one card but MT3 card can only hold one car data in one card.

How people "ganti2 mobil" is by ejecting their card and insert the another card into the machine. You need to tune both cars in separated cards in this case.
