actually that depends on how & where u are blocking from cuz if its a corner then by all means go ahead if u want but ppl dun do it cuz it will slow u down for sure

Really depends on how the block is done. Sometimesi block then brake and slow my opponent down to like 200. Other times i just turn infront of them quickly and let them ram the back of me.

thats is NOT the way u do burnouts in real life

Forgot what was the term for what I posted earlier, and I know that burnouts are a lot different.

And yeah, from your recent post, N643, there are a wide array of kinds of blocks. An example would be blocking someone who would overtake you.

Yeah. 90 degree blocks and parking blocks are LOL. Park in the C1 divider. They'll hit you and get stuck.

Here's another one.
Does the speed at which traffic moves vary, or are they all at a preset speed on the course?

And jumping off from that one, what would happen if two cars, bumper to bumper, were to plow through a tight opening in traffic while nicking them slightly to the side? Would they both get caught up and slowed down, or would their combined momentum shove the obstacle out of the way and have both of them moving at the same speed?

I don't know if MT's physics follows the formula for what happens when two objects collide with another, but it's a guess.

From my experience, traffic seems to go at a constant speed. Can you clarify or give example of that situation? Please keep it simple so that more forum members can easily understand and respond to you.

Well, let's say we have two identical cars that are directly in line with one another, traveling past 300.

Suppose the leading car clips a truck with a part of it's bumper; like only where the headlight would be. A small area of impact. This naturally is going to make it slower than the car chasing it.

What then happens to the car chasing when it bumps the car in front? Will their speeds match, or will the one in front be shoved forward?

Are you trying to say that the chasing car rammed the leading one? If so, then it's obvious that the chasing car will be slowed down a bit.

Chasing car will slow down. Leading car speeds up.

Why it is that when you are -5m behind you still hit the car infront for some reason?

I'm having a hard time imagining your scenario...

But from my experience, here's the effect of each traffic type upon 1st impact of a player's car:

truck - its a given that its tantamount to getting parked at the C1 divider with pacman smiling at you. regardless of how you hit the truck (except when scratching the side of it with your car) you WILL stop when you hit a truck.

van - they will definitely slow you down by a large margin but not enough to put you to a stop.

cars - they can also slow you down but not by a large margin

please note that you can throw around cars and vans by hitting them at the corners of their bumpers with your car's bumper. its not an easy thing to do and requires practice.

Think about it bro, like the leading car is ahead so it will be able to pull away and accelerate. The chasing car will hit the leading car which has already started moving and because it is already moving it will speed up and the chasing car will slow down as if it hit an R2 or corolla.

@viet_pridez? What hp are you on now? And how did you stuff up?

Just letting you know. You enter your name with the gear shift. You delete or backspace use the brake. To enter a letter hit the accellerator.

sorry for interrupting, but I have a question here. I'm asking it on my friend's behalf since he's juz a wangan beginner.Apparently, he drives a RX-8, Mazda. But he drives using AT. The thing is, when he plays story mode, he doesnt really know how to quickslide well, and also has problems with controlling the car. He tunes his car in a weird way (sry if there are ppl who tune like him): for every 4 power tuning, he only tunes 2 handling. My question is:-

1.Can he survive the rest of the story mode (especially in C1 area?)
2.Can he remain tuning like that (speed crazy?)
3.Btw, is the RX-8 that hard to control? or was it juz himself that is not used to it?

Thanks for answering! ^^ laugh.gif

Well first of all what story is he on now? And what HP is your friend on?

If its story 20 or below then he can use any HP setting an be fine. When i did the first 20 stories i got 600hp first then i did handling.

The RX-8 is a great car but i wouldnt call it a beginners car.

He just completed "The Return Of Devil-Z" Moving on to chapter 6 now. However, he might not be as matured as u though. He cant avoid cars in chapter 1 though he managed to get away^^ So looks like he can hold there by juz more power than handling? He is 460hp. But i suppose he has to get used to the rx8 since he chose it. He actually wanted me to chose for him as he wantedc the most popular car (mitsubishi i think)...but my another friend chose mazda for him...so cant be help grin2.gif
