Which cars are more suited toward beginners? Is there a specific car you would recommend for training?

RX-8, Evo VIII/IX are all very easy cars to use.

To get better, should I select one of the cars you listed and keep on practicing continuously with it, or should I select a more challenging and harder to drive car?

the easiest way is to just stick with one car and get good with it, whatever you want to use, use that. at the end of the day with boost on battles, there isn't such a big difference between them all.

+1

My first car was the FC almost 6 years ago. I've been using it ever since, though I did make a few other cars, I'm best with my FC. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend starting with any of those, but ultimately it's up to you. happy.gif

Thank you for your help everyone! I am deciding between the R34, the Evo 8, and the RX-7 (both models). Can anyone that has driven any of these cars provide some feedback on them? Thanks!

R34: Heavy/Speed Demon/Un-friendly around the corners for beginner

Evo 8: Great Acceleration/Top Speed/Handling, very easy to use

RX-7: Great around corners, decent top speed, horrible acceleration

I just got started with the Evo 8. Could anyone give me a few pointers for driving manual? I am having difficulty in shifting at the right time, especially in the corners.

I would advise you to shift after the turn.

As most professional time attack drivers do that as well.

Do note that drifting has nothing to do with shifting gear( some people thought wangan was similar to Daytona and changed gears to drift)

The nimble cars are your best bet: lower weight means better acceleration and a smaller hitbox. Examples are MX-5, MR2, and RX-8.

What would you recommend for an over all car? Would you recommend the RX-7 (FD), Supra, or the R32?

Supra: Heavy, ideal for blocking.
RX-7 FD: Great cornering ability.
R32: All-rounder, decent acceleration.

Take your pick. Although the R32 is whored much, I'd recommend it.

I'm with Rotary on this one. 32R is the most balanced between it and the FD, though I'm not sure about the Supra since I've yet to tune one.

Personally I'd go for the Supra.

It currently has the highest top speed on 3DX+ making it on par with the Z34 in terms of speed.

supra is full crap when it comes to over all cars, im not joking ask supra owners & they will tell u that its fast but u cant really hakone it unless u practices a lot

r32 is a much better compared to the supra & the fd

Well, I am looking to tune a new car. I already have an R34 and an Evo 9, so I just picked a few that looked good. Let me rephrase my question. What cars (any) would you recommend?

Anything under the sun? This is gonna be a tough cookie, but let me see what I can do...

RX-8: Great handling and acceleration
MX-5: Nimble, suited for Hakone
MR2: Another nimble car, comparable to MX-5 in performance
R32: Superb acceleration
R35: God tank (IMO)
Z34: Decent stats, highest top speed
GDB/GRB: Comparable performance to Evo VIII/IX

And for added giggles:

R2: Smallest car, great for ninja-ing around those ramfests
HiAce: Supposedly has the highest top speed, higher than the Z34, also the best tank
Celsior: C'mon, who doesn't want VIPs?

I'm not the expert here, but this is what I can come up from observing other players and driving some of the cars here myself. Let's wait for other... specialists.

I'll simply recommend the FC & FD because they're so much fun to drive. The fact that they have beautiful cornering abilities is just an added bonus. happy.gif
