When it comes to less technical courses than C1/Hakone, it shines on the high speed circuits like New Belt, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. I know for a fact that it can get at least a '30 on Fukuoka.

I'm planning to make a Z32 as a side project, is it any good? How does the handling compare to other cars like the Supra and FD3S?

the z32 was sub par before 3dx+, but in plus it got boosted and is now quite good ^^

Not to mention, it's a great looking car.

Nice! Really gonna go with the Z32 as my project car, I was actually thinking of either an R32 or a Z32, but since I already have an RX8, I thought I'd go with something different. I don't know much people who use Z32s as their main, or even have a Z32 at all.

Thanks man! smile.gif

I always thought it felt heavier than the Supra back when I was playing MT3.

If you have a MT3DX+ card holding MT2 data, will there be any problems (such as when you renew or transfer)?

Nope, all cards from the first MT to the last one to use magnetic cards are the same. So it won't matter where you put the data. Just... be sure not to get confused, though.

I think you have to do the story mode all over again to get it unshaded.

I heard that if I transfered the data to a newer version the shaded status would reset. Is this true? If so, which version of Maximum Tune is it?

Not sure about the resetting unshaded status, but as for the game version to transfer to, importing from MT2 is only possible with MT3.

It applies to MT3DX transfer to MT3DX+.

I've personally tried it myself.

On DX, I accidentally rammed a lorry, so I lost a chapter 77(I think). Anyway, losing at which chapter doesn't affect the resetting of shaded to unshaded, so lets move on.

I played on DX till story 99 before transferring to DX+.

I did story 100 on DX+ and won, so I got the special meter and WMR soundtrack as well.

However, if you lose a game on DX+, naturally it will shaded on DX+

Hope this clears your doubts.

ALL Maximum Tune transfers will reset your shaded status. EXCEPT Maximum Tune 1 to Maximum Tune 2.

If you want me to be more specific, those are:
MT2 to MT3
MT3 to DX
MT3 to DX+
DX to DX+

Ok, I am confused. So which one of these are true?

1) The shaded status does not reset when transferring to any version.
2) The shaded status resets only when transferring from 3DX to 3DX+.
3) The shaded status resets every time you transfer from one version to another excluding MT1 to MT2.

If all of these are incorrect, is there any way to get unshaded once you are shaded (via card data transfer)?

I'm sure this has happened to you guys on cruddy machines, but

So there's this one cabinet that tends to lag a LOT (I have no idea why)

I remember that when the card reader was dirty it would happen but the machine doesn't say it is so I'm not entirely sure.

This is a NORMAL MT3 (not DX/+) cabinet.

And sometimes it lags so bad that I lose complete control

Example:
Gears don't work anymore
Car doesn't turn anymore
Nothing works anymore
Gotta shut down the machine otherwise it's pretty much crashed otherwise

Game is extremely laggy but timer on TAs and battles still run.

Is there something I can do to fix this? Or is my only salvation in the arcade owners fixing it somehow? There's a good cabinet, but I want to be able to race fairly on both.

I believe the only thing for that now is have the arcade owners fix that. It's already a hardware problem and they're the only ones that can open the insides of the machine. You can tell them about it, and if they're nice enough, they'll have it fixed in a day or two.

I've experienced things like that, both with MT and ID machines, and I've stopped playing in places with broken machines since their owners won't give a damn because no one's playing in those machines anymore because of the damaged goods.

So, am I correct in saying:

1) Transferring a shaded MT1 card to MT2 does not reset the shaded status; you are still shaded.

2) Transferring a shaded MT2 card to MT3 does not reset the shaded status; you are still shaded. However, if you redo the story mode again in MT3 without losing, then you will become unshaded.

3) Transferring from MT3 onwards will reset the shaded status.

What if I have a shaded card in MT2 that is not done with story mode? If I transfer it to MT3, would I have to finish the story mode for the first time and redo it to get unshaded?
