QUOTE (blind51de @ Yesterday, 7:00 AM) | [MT3]
Any tips for doing repeat loops of the Story Mode? I'm on my third loop and oh man, the boost is getting crazy at this point. Does the CPU really get more and more each time, to the point where you can only win if you cut them off near the end? Or does it max out on the third or fourth loop? |
I believe there's a maximum difficulty level for the AI in Story mode. To be honest, AI in MT3/DX/DX+ at it's "hardest" difficulty level is still pretty much very easy compared to MT2. If you drive 'safely' (by means not much hitting walls, especially traffics) they're mostly will always stay on your back all the time, except some chapters which certain characters will have their engine blown.
Third loop or whichever loops, I believe the maximum difficulty level is only about 10 wins without losing. From there, you're facing AI with max difficulty level already (while I believe traffics mess isn't included as difficulty factor. It's just pure luck that you need to pray & hope there won't be 2 trucks on both lines on the last corner before finish)
*Edited* Additional info: FYI, there's no such thing as Difficulty level on the Game Options. So, there's no way AI can be different from where I play & where you play. The only possible thing that can make you feel they have crazy boost, is probably the gas pedal where you played is probably broken (doesn't go to the max speed) try to play on different machine/arcade & see if you're still having the same problem. Then the only tips I can give you is,... practice more on your skill. Most story only requires you to be good at C1 Inbound & C1 Outbound, try to practice running on those 2 courses on Time attack mode, if you can reach at least 2'54"000 or below. Then you're good to go to keep winning on story mode most of the time.

Hi guys new here and I have question regarding Storymode, when at which stage does the course Fukuoka make its Storymode debut, cause I just made a R35 and KPGC10 Skyline GTR. Thanks for replying to my question.

QUOTE (blind51de @ Today, 5:22 PM) | I figure to get unshaded you've either got to be really good or have a buddy on a connected machine standing by to join in when you're close to the end and losing.
My question: I'm trying to improve my cornering, and I'm watching different videos to try and improve. However, there's only so much I can figure without asking questions. -Is it better to downshift after sliding a little, right when you turn, or before you turn? I've seen good TA videos with all three examples. -I tend to counter my sliding by easing up on the gas while sliding, which in conjunction with countersteer helps me control my exit. However I think I'm hurting my exit speed greatly by doing this. Am I right, and if so, what's the window for doing this if applicable? |
As for point 1, I recommend trying all the methods, then picking which one is more suited to your style of play. Second, the method you're using now is hurting your exit speed, but it's a good way of learning the angle of the turns. Eventually you'll start hitting the turns faster and not letting the throttle go. Just remember, throttle control is very important. Just remember to try and not go less than half-throttle. Hope my advice helps. This post has been edited by ATRUM_Neto on Jul 31 2012, 05:42 PM

QUOTE (DarkWolf_V1 @ 3 hours, 32 minutes ago) | dw?
so even though like for example.... the card looks pretty damage but there is still ink or print on the card, will it still work? |
dw = dont worry,
if the card is physically damaged then there are chances that the game can't read the card. the card itself holds the memory, the game doesn't look at the ink, the ink is there for the player to see whats on the card. even a card with completely faded ink can still have memory in it as long as the card is in good physical condition.
QUOTE (IvRidge @ 6 hours, 44 minutes ago) | dafuq? I'm asking for advices. Because there are times that they catch up easily. |
they'll always catch up, they have handicap just like everything else in the game. just dont hit anything near the end, computers tend to loose speed near the end in story mode if they're in front of you, and slow down a bit if they're behind you.
there are no advice, just dont hit things, and do good turns.
and good luck, MT2 is the hardest to get undefeated in.
