Will a card from Singapore work on US machines?

as long as its not from a japanese machine, it will work in ANY other machine (assuming same version) so long as its NOT japanese

to clarify,

japanese cards = only japanese machines
everything else = works everywhere but NOT japanese machines

how many outrun stars for getting any species? cause i saw a rename player have a hornet or wasp on the display

Check this page -- it's got the amount neccesary. Unfortunately, it's got all the titles, including daily -- and for anyone waiting for a particular daily title, bad news.

I tried out Maximum Tune 2 today. I went up to the point when you had to choose between an aero set or carbon parts (handling in basic tune). If you choose one, can you get the other later in the game? Ex: I chose to get the aero set. Could I get carbon parts later in the game, or is it just one or the other?

If I remember correctly, you can only get one of either choices. If you chose aero parts, you won't be able to switch to carbon parts, the same goes when you choose carbon parts.

I'm not even sure since it's been years since I last got to that choice in MT2.

So the aero kit/carbon parts choice is permanent on WMMT 2? Are the rims choice permanent too?

I think so, yes, since the rims are part of the aero/carbon kit choices.

I've noticed that I always seem to screw up in the last corner in the story mode races that don't end in a straight away. I always seem to hit/tap the wall, brake too much and get passed, turn to early and hit the inside of the corner, or turn the wheel too much and loose too much speed, and get passed. I also noticed that throughout the races, I always tap the wall 2-3 times, and I always would get passed after that.
Any pointers for how to fix this bad habit (besides practicing more)?

Well, I can only say be cool. Don't get tense when it comes to the last corners, the AI usually drops back during the last 3 or 2km so just play it cool. As for the wall taps, just steer clear of the walls if you're not yet confident of driving beside 'em.

I was like that before, tense player. For the rest of your problems though, I really think there's no better solution than just practicing more. Everyone gets better that way. happy.gif

Usually i will advice most people to just set the car to 720hp for all the story mode matches

Gives u enough speed for the straights, but also gives enuff grip for the corners

AI will slow down during the last 1-2 km so the main key is to not screw up here

I'm not sure, but I think doing TA's a good way to gain mileage since nearly all TA layouts are at least 10-12km in length.

Play outrun mode level ? on the Wangan line.

At the last racer, just keep behind him until the last 8seconds then overtake. Usually gives me about 30+ km

How long (approximately) does it take to complete story mode on Maximum Tune 3 without any losses (as if you completed it in one sitting)?
How about in Maximum Tune 3DX?

I think about 10 hours for the 80 Stories in MT3, and about 12 hours for the 100 Stories in 3DX. I remember it took me a month and a half to complete the stories on my car in MT3, with me playing once every week.

Recently, I have watched TA videos and other people playing. Do you downshift before a sharp corner, when you are in the corner, or when you are coming out of the corner? What about braking?

Braking times are somehow dependent on the track and the car used.

As for downshifting, I really think it depends on how you drive. I've also seen drivers downshifting before the corner and some others during the corner, and they've achieved similar times. I usually downshift right before entering the corner and I often do it at the same time as my braking.

Renamed are prideless copies of good cars.
Notice I emphasized on prideless.
Go build one from scratch. It is more fulfilling.

A rename is basically a card with usually amazing stats (10k stars, full dress-up, S rank above) that can be created like a newly-bought card with a name that you choose, hence the "rename".

I'm not sure what you mean by tuning card services though...

I think he means something like xerpents tuning card service where you pay someone to play story or dress up for you.

Oh, well in that case renames are like completed versions of the tuning card service, only difference is if you have the money, you can just buy and create it in the game, saving you time.
