straight wing is faster then 3d wing on straights, but doesnt have as much grip as corners like the 3d wing. 3d gt wing is slower on straights, but grip more in corners. ur choice, i like 3d gt wing..

aero a is very good imo. but so is stock...and stock looks better imo. T5 rims are pretty good rims too, or RCII for grip..

my old setup:
stock aero
carbon fiber OEM hood
T5 (RCII soon)

new setup:
aero a
carbon fiber OEM hood
T5 (RCII soon)
3d gt wing

i like both old and new setup. but im leaning towards my old setup more..

i think ur friends setup is good enough, might be a lil light, so might want FRP ducted? but if he doesnt think its light, then carbon fiber ducted is just fine..and just to let you know, FRP ducted on evo IX is FUGLY!! stock hood or carbon fiber stock hood is better imo.

Hey guys here's my E8:

-Aero Set C
-Carbon hood with ducts
-Aero Mirrors
-Wing (Aero Set C's wing)
-Evo Forged

Should I go with Set A or stock or just Set C? And should I stay with my wing's or put it to 2d or 3d? And planning to change my rims to RCII.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated grin2.gif

Actually.....My E3 has

Aero A
Enkei J-SM
Original mirrors
Carbon bonnet with ducts
Wing by type

It turns as well as I want it to including the corners. It is fast as well due to the accel. But I am rather concerned because it may be become a victim in a ramfest.May change to Aero C to see it's performance with a different aero. But I am really satisfied with it's current condition.

What's a good setup for the Evo 9?
  • Aero A works pretty well - I ran w/ it since the first week of MT3, never changed until late last month. Ran w/ speedometer-based shiftpoints, did fairly well with it.
  • Aero B is okay, a bit heavier than Aero A in turns. I tried it out from Oct to early Nov cuz my Auto/Manual Osaka turning needed some work when done @ higher HP. Also ran w/ speedpoint-based shiftpoints, not much change.
  • Aero C is just downright scary when equipped to a black Evo9 w/ ducted carbon. This suggestion is mostly for appearance's sake - but seriously, it takes a bit of getting used to. Needed to try post-redlining shiftpoints, much better than speedpoint-based - well, for the accel from scratch, anyways; back to business after that.
