Acceleration and Top Speed wise, pretty good, if my experience in Ghost Battles is of any indication. I tend to observe handling more, and the GTO's handling is very good for a heavy car.

So if you're thinking about getting it, go on ahead. You'll be in for a great time.

is it good to use a EVO III?

probably not. i think the JZA80 is a top-tier car while the GTO is only second-tier. the JZA80 also has quite good acc & top speed, better than the GTO.

80 supra isn't considered top tier by some people.. lol

its easier to maintain the top speed in the Supra than the GTO imo... GTO has slightly better handling, but not enough to make it a better car...

Supra is definitely better than the GTO... but even then, if you like the GTO, go for it.

GTO is a 4wd if i'm not mistaken... but feels too heavy for one...

this kid has that exact body. his car loses a lot of speed on corners but the acceleration on the exiting is CRAZY >_<

my MR2 lost for the first time in almost a month....

but my FD3S beat him badly in C1, Osaka, Hakone, New Belt.

he is very good though. possibly one of the only 3 people in hawaii who have a good challenge for me....

for my Evo.VIII i use aero C, 3D wing, aero mirror, duct hood, and Yokohama Advan T7.

nice handling cool.gif

So yeah, I found this Evo 9 discard about a month ago (think it was Holdens XD!) and decided to make car with it and just TA immediately with it... Omg, I can get over how much this thing stays glued to the ground and somehow comes out shining even when you mess up. I did this Yokohane downward TA with it and hit the wall 3 times, and yet the time was 2'50'9xx, my average being about 2'50'5xx >_>

So anyways, any onions on the aero sets for the Evo 9? I like the way the all look.

Most people in HK like to use Aero C, they say it feels better.

I'm using Aero A at the moment.

Well, you can try this setting given to me by some pro in my arcade:

Aero C + Cyclone + stock mirror + any hood you like

The cyclone is a drifty rim, but somehow it works like a gem on Evo9... O.O

hey i see tonnes of kick ass evo8s in my time for playin. Some really kick ass, and some NOT so kick ass. But u get my drift. I was wandering what are the best setups for evo8s. I am just really curious. Like what aero kits? wings? tyres? hood? and is it similar to setups for the evo9 or evo3?

You could try my build, i find it quite good.
Aero kit C
Carbon hood with Duct
Rays Volk TE-37's
GT wing Straight

I'm very happy with this build but i'm gonna experiment and change my wheels to the '3 prong ones' aka yokahoma super adv. version 2. Although the wheel guide from the namco website says this wheel is a ricer several E8 pros i've seen use this wheel with a similar or exact build to me. Anyways i hope this helps u out mate.

Nah, of course not =p like xeo said in a different post i think most E8 users choose Kit C because they find it gives more stability to the car. Kit A is less wide and you probably could take a finer line with it. I don't really have experience with B so i can't give advice on that.

Havn't used Enkei RPF-1 on my evo. Warmac? Do you mean Tarmac? If you mean Enkei Tarmac evo limited then i've used it before and i didn't really like it, cause i found that i got too much grip from it and was losing too much speed on turns, well at least it felt like it lol. Hope that helps u out a bit. turned.gif
