the rims also depend on your setup, and driving style..lol

thats why the rims i recommend arent exactly for everyone..

HAHA
Maybe its because I use a light set up
Kinda like yours right o.O?
Well
Maybe it wouldnt do so well with a heavy setup XP

agree, heavy setup, i perfer RCII more.

but light setup, i like my rims light too. well, my current setup on evo VIII isnt light, its aero c, but i do have TCII and carbon fiber ducted to make it somewhat lighter. but thats my battle setup, the setup i actual perfer overall, is light and fast (stock aero, wingless, etc.)

Oh I see
We dont battle here
Like battle ramming and stuff
Battle
So the use of a light racing set up is good XD

LOL
The max slide I can control is the Forged since I used them for a long time XD
The 3-Spoke was just too much for me XP

you say your evo was sliding a lot. its BECAUSE YOU HAD FORGED RIMS ON!! forged rims ARE NOT grippy at all..they slide..try TCII or T5, or for more grip try RCII.

Dude. Enkei forged are probably the best rims for the Evo in general as I've used it on the Evo VIII, IX and possibly X when I do dress-ups. Dunno how you came to that conclusion.

BTW, the Evo X is a good car, probably better than the VIII or the IX. I suppose the reason is that this Evo doesn't babysit you as compared to the previous Evos. You genuinely have to work hard with this car. Hell, borrowing a friend's FT'ed Evo X, I can easily match the Evo IX and VIII.

Everyone has their own oppinion and driving style
I am one of those
Who found a rim better than the Forged
I too used it
I had them on all my Evos
But I found it to be inferior to the TCII when I tested them out

If you can use the Forged really well
Thats good for you

i never said "forged sucked" or anything. i just said that it slides, compared to most other rims that ppl use on evos. dry.gif if you think the forged is good on evos, good for you..imo its not the worst, but definetly not the best.

HEY I WAS WONDERING!
@ the beginning of a race w/ evo9 do u let it redline to 9k in 3rd gear?
bcuz once u shift from 2nd to 3rd it kinda lags @ 8k in 3rd for a bit and then it goes quickly to 9k........haha or am i the only one?

Try the 2nd mark inside of the tachometer's redline. So if your tacho redline is @ #7 (for example), hit 7.5 or 8.

Usually no. About 7.5k to 8k is what I consider the rev-limit of the Evo IX. The reason being is that any higher, you won't be getting any tangible acceleration/speed out of it.

@ BNR34NISMO, sorry about that comment. I didn't read the post properly so I didn't mean to come out that harshly.

i believe some people still stick to Enkki forge because it used to be the default rims to be selected for evos in version 2.

many ppl stick with forged cuz of MT2 imo. forged or 3 spoke advans were used the most on evo VIII. now in MT3, theres much better rims than forged, even though forged isnt that bad..

RGII is grip and slide, but i think TCII is better balanced overall than RGII, even though it doesnt have as much grip as RGII.

I think it's more about feel then results. ^^
Just my 2 cents.

I have yet to make my trip to the arcade, going to be damn rusty.
