QUOTE (shadow_z3r0 @ Today at 6:37 AM) | do you know that setting for your E8 will make you fly out of your window? =_=
to those that want a proper e8 setting to try out, try:
Aero C, Straight gt wing, yoko RCII/Enkei forged, carbon hood with duct, aero mirror.
That setting is fast and grippy enough, but it's not the best in battles. still can be pushed around but if handled well, i don't think you need to push anyone with it anyway |
One of my E8's is using the exact same setup, except for the hood, which I'm using stock.
My other E8 is using the exact same setup as my first E8, but with stock aero.
It's great everywhere, but the RCII's makes it grip quite a bit...hard to do C1 OB's tunnel S turn in CP4 with.
Yokohama's Super Advan Racing Ver 2 Tri-spokes still seem to be better for TA, because they're much easier to control.

omg that is such a good transition... at the low dressups, have... Aero kit A (lvl 1) carbon fibre hood (lvl 4) 3 spoke (lvl 5) GT straight wing (lvl 8) normal mirrors (stock) then once you get aero kit C at lvl 24, switch to... aero kit C at lvl 24 carbon ducted hood at lvl 26 aero mirrors at lvl 30 rays TE-37 at lvl 31 (cos of unlockin rays vs. gabbana) and of course keep your GT straight wing. GREAT transition... from one good setup to another. This post has been edited by Death_B2KSJ on May 17 2008, 04:11 AM

Yea, if it's for TA, i guess you gotta properly tune it with proper parts. but i'm looking at overall. heh.
and death, i wanna ask you. do you use the e8 often enough to give that much suggestions on the car? just a question. no hidden meaning.

like again, do you drive enough of the e9 yourself, hmm?
it's not whether it's my opinion or not. you seem to mislead a lot of people to have shit setups like your evo9 examples.. and it is $$$ (which in case you have the luxury of because you have 90% of the cars in wmmt) that is going to waste and people are gonna get pretty difficult setups for the cars, when there are better suggestions for them.
cut down more on your postwhoring (though i'm in no position to tell you that), and if you have something to share, please make it valid and not just a "maybe"(like your e9 suggestions). We don't even know what your suggested setups will do to the car.
for the e9:
If you want a battle setting:
Aero C, 3D Gt-Wing, Watanabe Cyclone, Hood with Duct, Normal Mirrors. (It is said that this is the perfect battle setting for the e9, and I've personally tried it. Very tough setting to master but rewarding if you do. I knocked a couple of hardcore battlers around with this setup before.)
If moderate setting:
Aero A, 3D Gt-wing, Yokohama RCII, Carbon hood with duct, Aero Mirrors. (This setting grips and the car doesn't slide as much as stock. It's pretty much good for TAs and battles if you're fast enough. It's like the jack of all trades for the evo9.)
Pure TA setting.
(Now this is subjective as some people can get faster times with different settings for each map. But there are few components of the car that will help it be different.)
Wheels:
For grip, use: 57F For extra slides, use: Yokohoma 3 spokes, stock rims.
Wing:
This depends on how much you want your car to grip.
the grip chart goes like this. 3d wing> straight wing> Wing by type of car> stock wing> no wing
Aero:
Aero kit A helps balance the car out and gives a little more grip than stock. I haven't seen any accel difference, so yea. Aero C will stabalise the car but at the same time kills its accel which is the evo9's most powerful tool in TAs. But it depends on your style of driving, so up to you.
Always have on your car: Carbon hood with duct, aero mirrors.

I agree with what you say in the first three paragraphs...
and most of what else is there... but i like the straight GT wing... ^^ totally true tho. e9's greatest weapon is its accel. Imo, this is what sets the e9 apart from the e8... one has slightly better handling, the other accel.
btw you missed out on the wing by type of car, as well as the aero wing.
