Ur response comes from a variety of factors..
The biggest being Kit and wheels, then hood and wing
Kit A makes u slide and accel more Kit B stabilizes ur turning, with accel being moderate Kit C i have yet to pick, however i assume slides less and accels least, but turn response is increased due to weight
The Wings stablise ur turning and slide..
Personally, from experience, a responsive rim is T7, forged and cyclone
Although i must stress that this is a subjective analyis...others may not agree with me
But when u change an aspect of ur car, something else will also change, so u must be careful in what u change, cuz some times u change something and get a totally different response lol

Very true - perfect example is when I used my Z33 (@ 740/AT) on C1-NBL with the setup of Set A with Ducted Carbon, GT3 wing, and Enkei RC-T4s; when I changed the bonnet to Ducted, my handling went way off and I couldn't keep the same turns for the lower set of dividers. All it took was one part to totally sap everything. I surmise the same thing would've happened when I manualed it, especially at that speed/HP. But since this is a Mitsubishi thread, maybe the best Mitsubishi example I can offer is my Evo9 - I swapped from Set A to Set B (and later, Set C), and I was eating Osaka's turns like ungraceful Hell.
And the 3-spoke Yokohama SuperAdvans? You ask me, the sound pitch from the wheels was more than enough to throw me off - no need for the super-sliding to help that. Performance-wise, it handled like s*** in the grip department. I'm never touching them again, even if they are the only whees that have blue available to them.

QUOTE (Rev-Dan @ Today at 2:49 AM) | Haha ok, well you could try this build Rays TE-37 Rims, GT-Straight Wing, Aero Kit C. I like that build a lot. Or you could try the one i'm currently using. Enkei Forged Limited Rims, Aero Kit A, 3D-Wing. I think it's a pretty drifty setting despite the 3d wing and forged rims but, i it somehow has a nice 'feel' to it.
Anyway good luck with your e8 just some suggestions, and also experiment yourself as the above people have said . |
LOL, thanks Rev-Dan, i think i might go with the first one XD TE-37, GT-Straights, and Kit C.

I gave up the EvoForged because I felt they were too popular (or overrated) and slid too much, so I wanted something new - which led me to the grippierRays 57Fs. I just swapped them for the EvoForged with my Evo5 to try 'em out - and I don't think I'm changing them for awhile. Might even swap my Evo9's rims for the same.
For the record, the only courses that I seriously Auto are Hakone and Osaka, the first for obvious reasons that I can't do J/S on that. With Osaka, I ran into problems taking the J-turns, oversteer/understeer problems (section-dependent), and my footwork slid too much on the S-turn. On Hakone, the problem was that I just gripped too tightly - which might be why my Evo9 feels slower. --Haven't exactly run into problems with Manual - yet.

QUOTE (skyangel91 @ Yesterday at 4:38 AM) | Im been playing evo5 for quite a some time, any one got good setup to recommend for battle and TA? Here is my current setup
Aero Set C Aero mirrors yokohama ADVAN RCII rims 3D wing Carbon hood with duct. |
Battle settings I honestly don't know much about, but I'm running almost the same setup for the Evo5: Set C with Aero mirrors and ducted carbon; however, I'm using the Type wing and Evo Forged. Over the same config with the Rays 57Fs, I can safely say the Forged config gives enough slide that I'm able to take Hakone again without serious whanging a wall - my Hakone exit vectors are better, but I gotta see how they do on the Osaka S-turns/upramps.
@Virus: As for the Evo9, I've been running almost the same continuous setup: a full Set A (inc. set's default wing) with Aero mirrors and ducted carbon. Wheels have been mostly the Enkei Evo Forged, Rays GT-C, and Rays 57F. Forged leans towards sliding, but does its share of grip; GT-C offers 50-50 IMO, and Rays is pretty much the opposite of the Forged.
