the evo vIII grips quite well as compared to the evo IX, so thumbs up to that set up. in all worth while it'll become second nature to you. for TA though, that's a different story

No best car, but in terms of ability of dx+ I heard that the E9 is still better than the E8 in almost every aspect except for ta where the e8 is still more balanced....

Been using an Evo9 since the first time I played. Evo 9 is a b*tch to play since it haz more accel and less grip ( You're gonna slide like a Happy Feet penguin, thats what happened to me anyways when I played the Evo 9 from scratch ) But it's rewarding if you learn to tame the Evo9. Evo 8, well, it's really balanced. Pro's use it. Hardly seen anyone professional use the Evo 9. So.....I guess if you are just want to walk into the world of Mitsubishi Lancer, I guess you could start with Evo 8. Although, if you want a bit of a challenge driving, take the Evo 9.

I think IMO if you want to drive a Evo,betta start with those late models first or just stay with the late models all the way.Late model Evos are good training cars or a car for long term use.I can testify cos I used to drive a E3 from 2005-2009.Just changed to the E6.5 recently and found that it is good as well as my old E3.....

BTW,pros does not only use the E8 or 9.I let some pros use my old E3 before I lost it and my newly made E6 and both can take out the bandwagons as well.

Overall e9 is better on paper... but e8 is still prefered on the ta scene because of its perfect weight distribution for an evo...
