QUOTE (IvRidge @ 5 hours, 20 minutes ago) | currently took c1 and nbl. Blaze, can you give me some tips on maintaining crowns? I'm more on not touching the walls and traffic.
Ps. Enkei Forged is fun to use. |
For Crown run you'll need to run it like you're running a TA run.
If you turn too wide you'll just make it easy for anyone to ride your ghost and easily take a crown.
You can also hug traffic cars, making it harder for cars to past you, since they risk getting sandwich between your ghost and the traffic cars. Also because its a ghost run its not 100% exactly like your original run, its possible that because you hug traffic cars that your ghost will hit the traffic cars instead, and with a bit of luck your opponent will hit or clip the traffic car ensuring your win.
Pretty much making your turns as tight as possible, as close to a TA run as possible. TBH anyone with similar skills in the game will be able to take your crowns. Its not really something I'd be worrying that much. If they take it, then take it back, simple as that.
Also Redo your runs after taking a crown. Unless whoever had it before just plain sucks, you'll always end up pushing the crown ghost or getting pushed in a turn. All of which slows down your car, making it easy to take. (of course if instead your rode on the crown's ghost as your only contact, then chances are on that turn you're much faster than normal.)
When you redo your run make sure your car is on the inside lane for the first turn, so that your ghost won't be ride on, in the very first turn making it much easier to take your crown.

QUOTE (IvRidge @ 1 hour, 0 minutes ago) | @Blaze nah, I avoid drifting. I just drift if necessary. I don't drift because my car might get overtaken. I'll try to get yokohane, osaka and hakone this weekend. And re-run the current ones. Have some exams. lol
what rim can i pick over te37? It's kinda slow although it grips better.
And last thing. Does js+m suck at evo 8? In terms of speed, accel, handling. |
you should test rims yourself as well, Just look around at what people uses, then try it out and see if you like it.
there are just rims i like and rims i dont, so all my car uses the same couple of rims. I use JS+M on my S15, and 350z (till i got to another ray so i can got the TE37's again (not done dress tuning)
IMO the TE37's are for heavier cars not the Evo's
It might work on an Evo. I always used the Enkei Forged on my Evo's (if it works lol I'm not gonna bother changing it), and quite a few people like the 57F as well, and even the Watanabe Stellers
