QUOTE (SixthSense @ 4 hours, 49 minutes ago) | Evo X is okay since it's has one of the biggest as^ in the game. And one of the best tank too. The accel just a bit slower than evo 8 coz it's 5-gear. Overall, it's a good car.
PS: Sorry for my bad English. |
The 'best' tank? Sounds good to me already. I am now doing Story Mode so I will have to finish the mode in order to understand the car's full potential.

QUOTE (SixthSense @ Yesterday, 4:03 AM) | There is no BEST setup. Depends on your playing style. For example: Some players like to make their car more slidy, some they like their car more grippy.
See which parts more suitable for your own playing style. |
I guess you are right. Don't know what is my true driving style yet. How can you determine? You mean; aggressor or calm driving style!? LOL
If I was suppose to be a calm and stable driver, I guess that means I fall under the 'grip' style then.

QUOTE (Wanganr32_1 @ May 10 2012, 09:32 PM) | I just got started with the Evo 8. Could anyone give me a few pointers for driving manual? I am having difficulty in shifting at the right time, especially in the corners. |
Evo8/9 only: Redline's at 7; tacho-upshift at 8.
Same rules apply for almost every 6-gear. Depending on the turn, ease off the gas partially while turning simultaneously, then reapply full pressure when you're sure of where you're going (line-wise).
Suggested HP for balancing speed and handling: >740 HP: Hakone >740-760 HP: Osaka >760 HP: C1-NBL; Nagoya >760-780 HP: Fukuoka >800: Wangan-Yokohane
Some of my friends go 760 on Hakone, but I stick to 740 like space tape. When you get to "Snake Canyon", try floating through that thing on gas, brake, and 3rd gear!
Check my vid for starters -- despite being Yokohane, it's not all straightaways, and most types of turns.
